In which case it's one of those anomalies where he's finished up no worse off by being sent off. Had he been facing this scenario some time earlier in the season, he would have been at risk of further suspension with another booking. Perhaps the F.A need to close this potential loophole. I'm glad he's back. Your left side might be vulnerable.
Please don't compare me to that special person who should be in the special Olympics lol. Anyway Webb is the best ref this country has.
Which is sort of like saying cholera is the best disease you can get from unclean water. Both cause nausea and vomiting within 24 hours.
Be interesting to see how we set up for this one I hope Sherwood goes 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 for games like this Lloris Walker Dawson Chiriches Rose Dembele Capoue Holtby Lennon Adebayor Chadli
That may be our best team ATM, but I'd hope Holtby would push up. I really rate him at the edge of the box, and really don't rate him farther back.
Based upon what criteria? Ferguson's choice, perhaps? This is the first image if you Google his name: please log in to view this image The first story that comes up if you Google the words "Howard Webb Tottenham" is his apology in the Telegraph for giving Man Utd a penalty against us for nothing. Slightly lower down is a piece on him and his multiple high profile mistakes against us in big away games. Hardly a sensible performance and I'll be shocked if he escapes this fixture without any media attention.
Apparently Paulinho is out for a month with an ankle injury caused by - you guessed it F---in Adam again and the club is to lodge an official complaint. What did we do to him! he doesn't do that against other clubs does he? Rub him out for the time the injured player is out.
"The first story that comes up if you Google the words "Howard Webb Tottenham" is" The Spurs PL games he has reffed. He has reffed 5 times as many away games Spurs have had against the Sky 4 / Sugga Daddy FCs as he has for the equivalent home fixtures. Are Spurs the Charlie Adam of visiting PL teams, who require a specific type of refereeing ??
2 home vs 11 away. And since Spurs have been a top 4 threat of any kind (2005-6) : 1 home vs 10 away. And he has done the Citeh game 2 times in the last 3 seasons.
With all these injuries we'd be in a right state if we had last seasons squad. So thankyou Bale without whom we would not have this strength in depth.
Howard Webb's a cheating **** and I think if we go for an attacking 442 against them we're running a thin line between playing to our strengths and playing into their hands. I think it could come down to finishing and the way Soldado's finishing I don't think we should go with 2 upfront as unless he all of a sudden starts scoring the chances then I think it'll cause us more problems then it causes them.
Webb is just a bad ref - for all the claims that he is the best. There was plenty of evidence of that on Sunday. It doesn't matter who's playing, he misses obvious things and bottles tough decisions. I don't think I know of any Utd fans glad to have him in charge of the game despite the popular perception.
Is that since his transfer to Chelsea Luke? Seriously, my problem with him is that his gets influenced by the sound of the crowd. If you don't see something then you can't give it, if you're not certain you can't give something, but he does!!! If the crowd appeals it tends to influence him. that's why he is a homer.
I can't believe that they wont start finding the net for Soldado, I think we should persist with Ade and him.
I like the 4-1-3-2 we played after Paulinho got injured, but hope we can swap Fryers for Rose. Chadli or Holtby for Eiriksen wouldn't be a bad idea either.
