I'd be shocked if Defoe dropped into the Championship. West Ham are after him, Toronto are set to offer him a 4 year contract on £90k/wk, and if he's available we'd surely be after him as well (and with Huddlestone and Livermore playing for us we've got the ex team mates thing as well).
But then he'd have to live in Hull. Surely worth dropping a division and a few grand not to have to do that?!
i think you are right. we don't have cover for danny and we could do with another centre back. i would love to see us go and get tom ince as that attacking midfield role is not working and a couple of strikers. i would love to see us finally put bobby out to stud. put him and the rest of us out of our misery
I think Simpson looks pretty clueless going forward and just ok defensively. What happened to our young right back? Can't remember his name off hand.....went out on loan perhaps? Harriman, was that it? He looked half decent to me.
Michael Harriman is on loan at Gillingham until the end of he season. I tend to think that Simpson and BAE are held back under instruction from the boss as we are still looking to preserve the point we have at the beginning of the match rather than push for all 3.
We need a different manager, look what Pulis did at Palace and McLaren did at Derby with no change in personnel, they look different teams. We of course need new players but they wont fix the problem of an incompetent manager.
