I also stick to my pre-season prediction of a 10th place finish, Robbie. With Pilks and Tettey likely to come back in 2-3 weeks, I still don't think that is unrealistic.
That's a big relief Rick. Imagine the scorn that will be heaped on us if the predictions of the doom-mongers are fulfilled. Not being alone will make it seem less intolerable! There are others too, like DM and the chairman. We are in good company.
I think we're just tired, Robbie, and we've said our piece over and over again. We know where everyone stands and there aren't any new arguments left. We're like gamblers watching the roulette wheel and waiting to see where the ball falls.
I'm at my best/worst when I'm drunk and watching the game (don't forget that usually means late at night here after being able to drink all day). So if we lose to Palace tomorrow I'll come out fighting again, I promise.
Remember Shankley's words about 'a marathon, not a sprint', Vietnam. I still think the major differences on here are based on the glass half full or half empty positions. Some of us think things will get better and some don't, and that's fair enough, IMO.
Don't worry Ox. You're forgetting that our opponents will already be on the beach by the time we play them, just like last season .............
