A lot of youth in our team and I know we want many of these guys to come good. Unfortunately, laws and averages shows that it doesn't always happen ( look at Arsenal and how many come through, get bigged up, and theeeennnnnnnnn never heard of again).

Who can make it from this group? I would like to know Brynners thoughts as he follows the kids better than Jimmy Saville. :bandit:

really not sure to be honest bluff, i see players like Trickett-Smith and Lussey etc play well some games and think they have a bright future the next they don't do a lot.

think most of them will end up like Suso in go on loan to prove they can step up or to get experience.

like to see Mclaughlin given a chance though and more of Ibe to be honest.

If he isn't going to play much, he really needs to go on loan and get minutes to help his development. If done right it can send them up a level or two, Suso as an example.

Its very hard to tell who will make it to be honest basically because you will not know how they will react to first team football until you actually put them in or loan them out but Jordan Rossiter for me looks like he could be an absolute star of the future. I think he is the best prospect we have.

    Nice one. <ok>

In terms of the special talents, normally by 18 you can really tell if they have that bit something. Suso looks like he might, Sterling has shown glimpses, Wisdom has shown he could probably handle it as recent examples.

I think the young American Marc Pelosi was doing well but then got set back with a pretty nasty Ankle injury he is still recovering from. Hope he can bounce back.

  12. I think its impossible to say who will and won't make it. Pacheco, Suso, Robinson, Shelvey, Spearing and others have looked like world beaters in the youths/reserves but when it came to the first team...

I would still wait with him though. Think there is still something there. ****, wouldn't mind bringing him back and playing him out wide if our targets don't work out. Would actually and probably prefer to spend the money on CM, RB/LB and bring Suso back.

Also goes to show how players like a Fabregas and Ronaldo who had some struggles but adapted so quickly. Wonder if it was confidence from the manager, style of play, picking the right games to play them in? I think Fabregas got thrown in straight away at 16 right?

  15. But does he have the right mentality?

If we were to bring him back then he would have to play. It would proper mess him up if we took him away from a team where he plays every week to sit on our bench!

  16. He covered for Vieira in odds games at 16/17 but became an important player around 18/19 I think

At this point, **** yes he would play for me! Put COutinho back at the no 10 and have wingers in Sterling and Suso. <ok>

Good point with Vieira and Fabregas, probably easy to step in when you have that monster of a man helping you out!

Arsenal suited Fabregas though as that was the style of football he was brought up on,Ronaldo was piss poor in his first season but the ****er was superb in his next and was surrounded by title wining players, easier for them both to settle really.

Pelosi was doing very well until his injury and can play in a few positions. He might not get talked about in the same terms as some of the other lads but he seems to have a good attitude and hopefully he can get back to where he was before the injury.

I know there are high hopes for him here in the US and the youth coaches, Reyna and Tab Ramos, were glad he went to Liverpool to not only develop properly under Borrell but to also get used to being at a big club, getting the winning mentality ( or at least the sense that you need to), etc.
