Wages are probably on the high side for us, but certainly wouldn't say no to that one. Experienced head at the back, who'd probably be on the cheap side as he's not playing and his contract's nearly up.
Briefly saw a mention of Chelsea's young Nathan Ake being suggested on a rumours website but I can't find the link now. He was Chelsea's stand-out player in the series of FA youth cup games. Bit like a young Leroy Fer that can play as a CB or DM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nathan_Aké Found link.. Not really a rumour, more a suggestion. http://www.sport.co.uk/football/january-transfer-twoadays-manchester-united-and-norwich-c/4546591/?
Ake was impressive in the youth cup final last year. Dutch players seem to mature more quickly, and for that reason Tonny Vilhena, who was also mentioned in the article, could be a good shout at ACM, but I'll defer to Mr chester on that one!
Just seen this reported on SSN. Hughton would have to be crazy tole t this happen. Hope it's just BS! What do you guys think? Shoot! Sorry should of been put in have Jan transfers thread sorry! Maybe a mod can move it for me?
Can't see us letting him go without a replacement (or even two) lined up, we're short enough on midfielders and creativity as it is. But, for the right price (I can't see us selling to Villa at anything other than borderline rip-off prices) I can see the logic in it, he's only been a bit part player and is entering the twilight of his career. Would be very sickening to see Lambert get the most out of him for a couple more seasons though.
@paddyjdavitt: #ncfc CH says hooper has pulled up Ok after #mufc. Expected to train tomoz. Howson still doubtful
Yeah, the above comments are about Wes. If anyone sees any tabloid stories about Fer being unhappy at Carrow Road, the man himself has just tweeted: "Lost in Translation: no trouble at all to adapt in the UK! Always been happy at Carrow Road @NorwichCityFC #interview #AD #tabloids #fail"
@paddyjdavitt: #ncfc CH knocking down any mileage to stories suggesting Wes is avfc bound. All the focus remains on building a squad not dismantling 1 Posted the complete wrong tweet.
I hoped we would have an interest in Diego Capel but that is blown out of the water. Talk of 35M for him. Ludicrous.
Everyone seems linked with more players than us: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25488699 I will take the optonistic tack and think that it means McNally, Chester and Hughton are keeping it quiet!
Isn't that his buy out clause? The talk was that he would cost about £5m and certainly no more than ricky.
Where's £35m come from? Agree we're playing our cards close to our chest, but I could well see us going through this window without a significant addition. Whilst a CB would be nice, it only takes Bassong to find his form again, alongside the excellent Turner and very capable Bennett, and suddenly it seems like a bit of a waste. Would rather see an attacking midfield option, whether wide or central.
Interesting article along these lines: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...talk_of_january_exits_for_his_stars_1_3160540
Well it's here. Let the crazy rumours begin, have a good month everyone! Hoping we get a CD, ACM and maybe a winger.
