It's all gone Spurm, something has to pay for the fixtures and fittings of our new stadium. Unless Levy uses his discount card.
Not only that, they replaced him with an odious Upton Park pillock, who spent a decent amount of money and flopped horribly. Hopefully they'll bring in someone decent this time and the link can be reestablished.
In all seriousness though, i've not heard anything in quite a while about the new stadium. Admittedly i've not been to Tottenham for a while so i can't see if anything is actually happening
Last I heard on new WHL was that once the new Sainsburys was up and running, that the engineering work on foundations excavation was going to start (with monies coming from Sainsburys to pay for some/all of it) . Or are they redesigning the stadium again (ie the foundations structure has changed) ??
Doubt it. My understanding is the payment terms / work schedule (at the time) had been agreed between the club and Sainsburys so that there wouldn't be any serious engineering work going on alongside the development/opening of the new store.
Haha true - the ironic thing is that I had clicked onto Not606 to make it when I saw that you had done it. It's alright though - means I don't have to do anything now
The only contract we need to sort out in this transfer window in one concerning the life of a certain Florentino Pérez RodrÃguez. Rumour has it he's going to tempt Levy's resolve with a £30M bid foe Paulinho.
http://www.goal.com/en-my/news/3890...ottenham-sherwood-on-trial-no-big-spending-in No news in that link really, only stuff that we already know or has been spoken about before. The bit at the bottom is sad though (if true), regardless of your thoughts on AVB. "AVB'S TEARS There have been suggestions that Villas-Boas was somewhat happy to leave Tottenham, and some have even claimed that the Portuguese coach resigned following the humiliating 5-0 defeat to Liverpool earlier this month. But that was not the impression Villas-Boas gave after being dismissed by Levy in a meeting at the clubâs Enfield training base shortly after 9am on Monday December 16. In fact, poor old Villas-Boas did not leave until around 4pm that day as he packed his belongings, said his emotional goodbyes and - according to training ground sources - spent hours crying in his office." Best of luck AVB and thanks for some awesome memories, despite things not going quite as well as we'd all hoped.
I also read Avb turned up with Christmas presents for all the players on the day he was sacked. Even if a wind up, pretty funny!
