Unfortunately for you, you don't define what is and isn't petty. What is petty to me may be important to you. Its fairly obvious that what is petty to you isn't petty to me.
if you leave Hull Tigers because of a name change, there is nothing wrong with you referring to them as Hull City. Personally? the name is growing on me.
Before Saturday we had never scored 6 goals in the Premier League. History changed on Saturday. What happens in the present adds to history and sometimes changes it.
I heard a few days ago on the radio one supporter saying that if the name change went ahead he would start supporting Scunthorpe. Well if his support for the club is so shallow then they are welcome to him.
'he is renaming something' - that just about hits the nail on the head - the team or city means **** all to you - that's fine, thats how you feel - but the team and the city actually mean something to some people - they are actually fans of the club and love their city - unlike some people who are totally vacuous - sure you would feel at home with that group
In the grand scheme of things where does the name change rank in your eyes? to me, my life comes first, then my family, then my friends, then my colleagues, then strangers, then pets, then wildlife, then inanimate objects and following along right at the end is a name change of a football club.
So if we become Hull Tigers then the Fulham match won't have happened? Gosh, that's earth shattering news.
I have had lots of memories from when I was a nipper. Those wont change, they are still stored under "watching Hull City'.. but I will have a bunch of new memories under Hull Tigers. IF the name of the City of Hull was being dropped........ I'd be as pissed as many of you children are over the word City. but it isn't. so I'm not.
Why should he or anyone answer to an arse-wipe like you? If you were genuinely interested in discussing it instead of just using the topic to hurl your pathetic insults around then folk might take the time to explain their positions; even though they have, on numerous occasions.
I don't know how you came to that conclusion. I was just pointing out how the present can change history. We'd never scored 6 goals in the Premier League now we have so history has changed. Nothing to do with the name change.
how did scoring 6 goals on satdee change the past? it STOPPED history repeating itself, it changed nothing!
Did you get dropped on your head as a baby? I wonder if all those who are pro-name change are as bright as you?
think about it you ****ing bright spark... did the history books suddenly rewrite themselves? no just incase you didn't realise, history is linear. Why are you complaining about the name change? If history is as fluid as you're purporting then, you can still buy Hull City tops.
this is going round and round in circles. it isn't my fault that you are all too emotive and dense to grasp that you can't rewrite history. HULL TIGERS FTW!
