im sorry but we're talking about the fecking metro here a free newspaper why? there's no need to fight a lot of things in this paper are made up im pretty sure they said man city were splashing the cash on messi in a £120,000,000 deal and he was signing iminently they're less reliable than the eggo now leave it be.

ccfc they read it because they have nowt better 2 do .....they love a good rumour like the next man/woman and it gives them something 2 talk about.

 

The fact is that this rumour has been doing the rounds for a while, and while I agree that the Metro isn't exactly the fount of all knowledge, neither are any of the papers. I see links to the Daily Mail being posted constantly, bout I can barely bring myself to click on those, not only because I can't stand the rag, but because it's no more reliable than any of the other papers.
The only thing I'd say is that there have been countless rumours about our club over the past eighteen months or so (if not longer) and there's nothing wrong with bringing them up for discussion, whether you believe them or not. Personally, I think that a man who believes that Red is going to bring us luck and who couldn't believe that Liverpool (who were at home) were allowed to play in red instead of us is capable of believing anything at all.

Dai - I don't really see anything wrong with his posts to be honest, other than the fact that he seems to want to dwell on the negative.

I'd prefer everyone to agree on here, but it just ain't going to happen. When it gets personal between supporters, those concerned need to back off and chill for a bit.

I'm no peacemaker on here and have enough run ins with others over the years myself, but hey guys - let's have a truce eh?

This comes from the BBC Wales news and sport department, a few of whose staff I know well. I don't work for them myself, but I see no reason to disbelieve them. In fact, I believe them. They have their ears close to the ground, after all, it is their job, and although it's true that whispers turn to gossip it seems clear to anyone that we're dealing with an owner who's eccentric enough to do pretty much anything. One minute he's saying that there's been to much washing of dirty linen in public (by Malky), the next he's saying 'would you have spent 8million on Corelius?' What I find really rather astonishing is that — given what's happened to our club over the past couple of years — people should be at all surprised and that they just to his defence in a way that is somewhat subservient. If I've been negative recently, particularly about Jck, I apologise. I did feel that the fella was hogging the board and that his posts were so positive about Tan that I could barely take any more. Having said that, as I said at the time, he's entitled to his opinion. Never did I say that he should be banned, but I was expressing annoyance at multiple posts, something which a number of other posters were in agreement with. Of course, I'm now in danger of cluttering up the board myself.

 

And tete the Daily Mail is treated with the utmost respect....
