"He's better off at QPR as Redknapp plays him for 90 minutes each week. If loaned to premier league club he will be dropped after a bad performance"

No different to when Walker went from QPR to Villa etc.
That is the path the Academy has set for its brood.
He is on loan to help his progression to the benefit of Spurs and the player.

Central midfield at premier league level in the second half of the season wouldn't work unless Carroll was playing every week.

Plus Walker had experience already from Sheffield Utd and QPR.

Most important thing now is for Carroll to play each week and he will either stay at QPR or return to us.

The most important thing is that Carroll is no different to any other Academy brood.
If a PL club are interested, and the Academy deem him ready, then that is where he will be loaned.

He won't be loaned to a Premier League club. Plus he has only played 9 league games for QPR due to injury and needs to play games which can't be argued against, especially as he needs to develop strength wise to impose himself.

If it we're I'd just bring BAE back. With Rose injured all the time we need decent cover short term. It is a huge weakness in our team playing Fryers or Naughton there. We are pretty much covered elsewhere now. Unless a VDV type of signing crops up then I think we should stick with what we have.

Roo is just suffering from delusion, mainly because a new football agent is appearing on Twitter by the hour. FootballAgent632 then FootballAgent236, all armed with extensive transfer gossip (pulled from football manager)!

But agreed , can't see us signing a single player. Only loan recalls.

<doh> I forgot there was a window opening. Can't wait for Feb 1st now <ok>

I would like us to sign nobody, given the upheaval that went on over the summer and the squad's persisting failure to 'gel' for the past 5 months. Can't see King Tim getting much say in any transfers that do happen, as I'm still not sure that Levy trusts him, though his trust in Baldy must be wavering too.

Defoe and Friedel may be moving on if the rumours are true, I'd like to see us move for Suarez and Buffon if they do, they should be keen on the move. Follow that up with Mata in the summer <ok>

Why? Shades of Fraizer Campbell. I'd rather just recall Assou-Ekotto or stick with Fryers.
That's one position that needs to be addressed, though.

I'm going to go against the trend and say that I think we need to do some work in the window, especially if Friedel or Defoe go.
Gomes should be released, so we need at least one keeper and possibly two.
Kaboul's situation has to be addressed as well and we need at least one more striker.

I don't know re the LB situation. - I'm unsure of how things now stand with Benny since AVB's departure and Fryers I'm not so sure of, just yet. I wouldn't say no to buttner, he's looked decent when i've seen him.

A goalkeeper is something we need to give some serious thought about. Is Jordan archer a realistic understudy? or is it time to call it a day with him?

I reckon Defoe is a gonner. which'll please many people as for some reason as certain fans think he's useless. However, knowing us, he'll be replaced by someone cheap for the rumoured £6m, who won't be as good. if 442 is the new formation, we are going to definitely need another striker IMO, and we might as well go for someone decent, rather than spending on a "back up" player. Seeing as our strikers aren't scoring as regularly as they need to be and our goal difference is so shocking, we need to go all out, IMO. It won't happen though.

totally agree re Kaboul. Gotta move on and get a replacement in. I fear his career will now be plagued by injuries.

With PNP, we still need new faces. Left back should have been sorted in the summer, if Benny is allowed home then i'd be happy, if not we need someone.
We've been caught with our pants down a number of times this season at CB too.

With the Academy crew in charge, I would not surprised to see Veljkovic start to get
PL run-outs more often. Similarly for Kane/Obika if Defoe is sold.

With our strikers hardly in the form of their lives, and a top 4 spot the objective, we do not deserve to be any where near the champions league places if we're planning to use those two unproven players in the hope they'll add value. What a huge gamble it would be, when our season has had enough problems as it is. January should be the time to be correcting things, not making potential mistakes...again.

We done all our spending in the summer and one of the main reasons Levy took on Sherwood was because he wants us to promote youth to compliment signings. That's the way forward. Getting the balance right but obviously it depends if youth players are up to the task. Yet we can't always look to quick fixes or desperate spending so as mentioned, expect academy players to be given a chance.

I doubt Baldini is doing any under the radar work for CBs and strikers this winter.
And if Defoe is going, I don't see any journeymen strikers like Saha around at the moment.
Soldado to finally click and then not be injured for the rest of the season is probably the only
    plan on the table.

Redknapp is out sourced to prepare certain youth players for our first team.

QPR TBF have had Academy players before they ended up with Arry.
The more clubs that Spurs can get good understanding/rapport with, the more/faster
opportunities there will be for getting the kids thru the pipeline into the senior squad.

Millwall seem to be gone with Jackett departed. Derby seem a bit hit and miss (Carroll, Smith etc) .
Surprised we haven't got any loan-outs to the Os though.

We can't be out of money. We made a profit, again, in the summer
