    <laugh>. <ok>

Deludapool's total fear is now being trounced 6-0 by a resurgent Hull at Anfailed next week. Bruce's side fears no one. <laugh>

I can see hull giving the dippers a good kicking, 2 losses in a row will soon be 3 losses then 4.... etc

Our aim for this season was top 4 <ok>

What was your aim, being reigning champions? Surely to retain the title again?

Haven't Hull already beaten Liverpool this season?

I don't think any manager has ever taken over the reigning champions and retained the trophy so it would be unprecedented for Moyes to do it.

Who knows, no one has publicly ever stated what was required. Why would they heap that pressure on a new manager?

It's clear to everyone, at least anyone with a clue, that some major changes of personnel were/are needed and that to suggest we win the league again given the level of competition from four or five other clubs would be a big ask.

I think we'd all like a top four finish but most would accept a year without top four so long as we come again next season.

The fact of the matter though is this, if Liverpool consider themselves top be in the title race, and evidence suggests you do, then so are we.

Well it's certainly very tight, so who know's what could happen. Although I believe City will win it in the end.

I agree that City have the most impressive squad but I do not rule Arsenal out at all.

Was it ever announced what the owners expected of the new Manchester United manager? I know other clubs claim that it's "their season" and prematurely crown themselves but it's not been the United way for some time. Most people expected City to win the league (apart from many Chelsea and Liverpool fans!).

Terrible thread, the title challenge is still on only 6 points off top nothing we can't overcome.

not really, if you were around at start of season, majority expected top3-top4 finish
is always hard to retain the title more with a new manager
