Smith scores again for Wimbledon. 11 in 22 games. Not bad for a hold-up CF, not an out-and-out striker, and backed by a mediocre team.
Wood and Evina are a liability together. Also Wood's name is essentially 'Dick Wood'. Where were Solly and Wiggins? Is the Belgium man selling them like he did at Liege? We should get Tinitin and Captain Haddock (henceforth Captain Addick) to investigate. Also I had two Dutch people near me who were overheard saying they'd come to England specifically for the match. One was wearing a Barnet hat. Was this our friend Paul? Feel free to ignore all of my post.
Don't worry, I will. You will get no response from me. As far as I am concerned your post never existed.
1-1 was a fair result (regardless just a bit irritating their goal was offside) Wilson and Evina shouldnt be full backs... Wilson because its horrible having to see him check whenever he wants to attack yet cant as wont be covered / Evina as I'm not comfortable with him in Defence Wood is definitely the best partner in defence for Morrison. Couldnt really understand the substitutions today yet we didnt have the Midfield depth on the bench to bring anyone other than Dervite on for Jackson... Whats happened to Gower? That pitch seriously needs to be replaced... Each time we passed the ball it would roll halfway to the intended and then stop, we tried hitting it harder and the ball would roll further...
Wiggins was at the birth of his child. Solly was injured. Crap game played by two crap sides played on a crap pitch. Powell's team selections were crap as were Jackson, Evina, Church, Stewart, Green. All in all a crap game.
Just got back. Possibly our worst performance of the season. No shape, no quality, no semblance of a team plan. Solly and Wiggins huge losses but, my God, our squad really is ****e when you see what the likes of Evina and Green served up today. League One players at best, ditto Church and Stewart. The only bright spot was that we got a point. Just praying that we get the takeover and a new owner looks at that pile of tat today, manager and players, and says " not good enough". Powell Out
You must of loved that to day ... For all our failings their goal was at least 2 yards off side. Wednesday the better team but we got a point so point gained . Selection was abit odd really can't see why Harriott ain't on the bench . Stevens took his goal well Wilson wasted at full back but was ok . Evina was very suspect he kept getting caught out . Yan worked hard was decent church all heart so have time for him. Powell out and who in...dave jones warnock holloway how about mr lomas Played poorly got a point 5 points from 3 games decent return.
The goal was a piece of individual skill which wasn't in keeping with the agricultural nature of our football. Can't understand why Paddy ran the tractor over the pitch and cut it so short, it looked much worse than thursday. Couldn't say anyone played well, even Alnwick was poor. I wonder if Church's non-scoring run will rival Leaburn's? How we got a point out of such a poor poor performance I don't know.
Could be worse. Your Belgian take over could be off, due to your current owner trying to con them over the price of your training ground. Oh wait a minute............. ....... Don't blame the messenger.
Oh well looks like Leeds are goin nowhere again no doubt Mcormack will be off to Norwich soon and as you were .
when you hear it officially tomorrow or the day after just remember who told you first. The various look at me types who are part of the current set up cannot keep a secret. But as you say, you are used to that.
Poor all round really but I for one didn't really expect much more on such a disgrace of a pitch and just three days after such a massive effort to beat Brighton on said pitch. No real complaints on team selection given Solly clearly didn't have two games so close together in him and Wiggins child birth. Our squad is so threadbare that I don't really see what else CP could have done in terms of team selection. For me, his only mistake today was to split up the Cousins/Stephens partnership to accommodate Jackson, playing Stephens out of position all afternoon as a result. I am not saying I wouldn't have brought the skipper back in given our full back issues but I would have stuck him out on the left and put Stewart out on the right. Evina was by a mile our weakest link and Wednesday got in behind us down our left almost at will all day. Jackson was sadly completely ineffective. I don't wholly disagree with the substitutions made, Wednesday were winning everything aerially in midfield and with it being such an 'agricultural' afternoon I can see why he would want some added areial presence in midfield. Green coming on was a throw of the dice as on his day Green is a good player, sadly that day is about once every five games. Church will run all day and I love that but the only thing keeping him in the team at the moment is the fact that the next best option is Marvin Sod-All
There was a thread on CL the other day about what to do with Jackson now that his suspensión is over. Result. Put him straight back into the starting line up despite the fact we beat Brighton three days before, moving other players into unfamiliar positions to accomodate him. I've defended CP on here a lot, though I've always said he does'nt seem like a finished product, and the learning curve often seems more of a flatliner, and today was all the reasons why. A point gained, five in the last three games, but sometimes, he seems dead set on disrupting things. Stephens in RM? He'll have the team coming out on Space Hoppers yet. What exactly has happened to the pitch?
