Of sending off players from the " big 4" just watched Chelsea game and saw 2 of the worst tackles I have seen all season. Eto'o takes out Henderson knee high with the ball nowhere in sight , dosn't even get a talking to and Oscar tackles Lucas two footed and with a scissor action , Webb only gets involved because there is afters. Two awful tackles , if it was from any player from a "lower team" there would be no hesitation.
Because they don't want to be on the back pages of the red tops tomorrow The big clubs are able to intimidate the refs
With the technology we have today we ought to consider having the refs off field somewhere where they adjuducate via camera. Then they can't have players in their faces or have 'pressure applied' from the crowd. A foul. A whilsle goes. Something goes up on the scoreboard saying to whom, a spot appears on the turf from where the ball is taken and get the ref off the pitch. That way they can't be bribed by the managers either.
in the mags game tiote racked up a whole host of fouls ,however the gunners scored from one of the free kicks , but still no card . catts yesterday was carded for his first foul near enough.
Thought catts did REALY REALY well to sort his head out cause he looked like he was Gona be sent off for a few minutes..
I agree, he had one of those headless chicken chasing everything 5 minute bursts. Always have and still believe he is vital to our survival bid.
Following the Oscar tackle I got the impression he manufactured the incident after the ref played advantage to Liverpool. He not only caused the game to be stopped but halted the attack. Job done. For the foul and the afters he should have had a red. If we had an all seeing computer programmed eyeball referee there would be no action because of the fouls/infringements that could be blown up for. Not a lot wrong with the game or the refs that a stop to cheating by the players, and bias about decisions by managers could not solve. Take a referee's course, qualify, get a dozen or so games and then read some of your appraisals and its surprising what you can be pulled up or praised about by the assessor. PS: what about the two Suarez' incidents that should have been penalties?
