Important win for us, I thought we showed a lot of discipline and persistence. I'd like to see us get a good finisher in January to give the Jigsaw some competition, but other than that I can't complain.
Ten years ago your best team ever scraped a 3-2 home win against us and then held on for a 0-0 up here. You must have been a miserable 13yr old
Just be glad that we won. That's really all that matters at the end of the day. And Kyle, you are 23, stop moaning like an old git.
maybe if you ****s didn't foul all our players they wouldn't go to ground. Someone should take a ****ing blowtorch to that Tiote ****er, teach him a ****ing lesson
So true and I wish it was'nt. He has soo many good things about his game: Link up, heading ability, workrate, strength but in the box he is absolutely useless. He lacks that sharpness to get past defenders and take a shot and when he does have time and space he seems to have no composure. Would LOVE to see us make a serious bid for Lewandowski. For me he would complete this team.
I somehow managed to sleep through my alarm and missed the game... sounds like a good defensive display?
It is one of the problems when Giroud isn't on the pitch to win those clearances. The ball just comes straight back. he wins 50% of those high balls forward and it means we can build our way out and keep possession. When he is not on the pitch our possession % goes to hell.
Lord Bendtner felt sorry for Newcastle so he let you win those balls out of pity. That kind of compassion is only found from the greatest player in the world
