Top victory away against Newcastle, a team that hasn't lost all season. Having a clean sheet is good and Giroud getting a goal should give him more confidence.

I don't think you can underestimate the significance of this result, it is HUGE. A tough win away from home against an in form team and puts us top of the table again for the turn of the year and will really boost our confidence coming out of the tough xmas period. Big big three points <cracker>

Well played. No complaints about the result, but what the hell was Wenger doing for the last 10 mins? Fair enough it worked, but sitting deep like that was the worst way to play against us. At the risk of sounding like I'm talking bollocks (which I do a lot) I'm not sure we deserved an equaliser but I think you may have deserved us to equalise. Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season and congratulations on a great 2013! <ok>

Also Arsenal have won the most points of any team this year, so it's fitting that we are top at the end of it <ok>

That's what it's all about, grinding out results in tough away fixtures. It will boost our confidence and help sustain our our position.

It pisses me off to no end when people claim we've played well, and done well, when we plainly haven't. We were ****ing terrible today, **** knows what some of you morons were watching, but we were dire, somehow scored, and then held on despite Wenger ****ing up the subs.

I don't like us just booting the ball up the field in the last 5 mins, usually Cazorla, Ozil or Ramsey will give us some good ball retention when we need an out, but two of them weren't playing and Cazorla had another average game. The pressure at the end was intense, but thankfully for us we dug in and won the points <ok>

Thanks for the congrats, and all the best for the Toon for the rest of the season. I hope you finish above the Spuds and push for a European spot.

Are you seriously saying that by beating Newcastle at their ground that we haven't done well ?

You seem unusually morose today .

It was scrappy as hell , and we gave away FAR too much possession in the last 20 mins but , by god we come back from the north east with THREE points .

Im not gonna complain today .

Great result, last 15 mins not good for the heart though, hope Giroud gets back on the goal trail now, disappointed we could not hold on to the ball more near the end we just kept giving it back to them.

Who said we played well ? Nobody.

People are saying that we've done well to grind out a result.
Read the comments properly before spouting off again Kyle <ok>

I like us to play well when we win, rather than fluke it.

I've said it plenty of times before, but I couldn't give a flying **** how we win, as long as we win.

Be it scrappy, ugly, luckily, beautifully, gracefully, fluidly ... whatever.

Also, wins like these sometimes feel even more satisfying that simply battering teams 5-O, because we've had to dig in and fight for it <ok>

Man United have "fluked" it in many games for seasons and look at how many trophies they have?

Just give credit where it's due, we beat a very good Newcastle team on their home ground...the first team to do so this season and we weren't at our best.

Bare in mind how many games we've played in such a short amount of time. (Monday, Thursday and Sunday).
