Decent half of football that. I thought we started really well but Toon came back into it. I like the way that we've been pressing the oppo when we don't have the ball and we've put some really nice pieces of play together, albeit without any end result so far. Both teams have defended well though. I think we need to keep being direct in the second half and hopefully we'll get the breakthrough. Can't understand how Tiote hasn't found himself in the book yet, especially given that Giroud got booked for basically **** all
Giroud's booking was a definite booking... He hacked Tiote down after he'd accelerated away, he got nowhere near the ball whatsoever... When is that not a yellow? Tiote's committing the niggly fouls which only warrant a yellow in accumulation in the refereeing handbook. He'll get his yellow, he always does, when he's committed enough of those to piss off the ref. Williamson's tackle on Giroud was very robust. I only saw it once, and it looked like he got the ball, but probably a free-kick and yellow these days... which makes it a red when slowed down to snails pace on MOTD with Hansen screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the background . Footballers are a protected species, I'm sure slide tackling will be outlawed altogether soon
We desperately need to get Ben Arfa on in the second half to give us some attacking thrust on the break, and I think you guys could do with getting Arteta on. That way your passing can suck in Coloccini, and then Arteta can pop it over to Walcott. Flamini's so much less creative.
I thought Giroud booking was a million miles from from a 'hack' it was more of a clumsy bundle than anything else. If anything deserved a Yellow it was Tiote for deliberately tripping Flamini when he was bursting through. That said, overall I don't think any of them deserved a yellow, just in comparison to Giroud's which I thought was soft. In that case the ref should be consistent and have booked Tiote, if not for the trip then for the elbow across Walcott's face. But as I've said, it's not been a dirty game and I'd rather the ref kept his cards in his pocket. By the way, It's the People's front of Judea, not the ****ing Judean People's front

I'm not a fan of this 4-3-3 formation. I understand Wenger is being cautious away from home against a good team (in form) but creatively we have been poor. Carzola is wasted on the left, he should be in the middle. Walcott hasn't been given a lot of opportunities down the wing because of this.
