Other teams - West Brom at Ham; Nic did wonderfully well in his first start to level for Baggies. Good for him after all the off field things for him. Now COY Baggies go on and get 3 pts from West Ham!! as soon as I type those two lines - Nic goes and bag his second within 7 mins of scoring his first to put Baggies 2-1 up at Upton. COYB!!
feck .. 3 goals in 3 mins 3-3. Now this is turning into a classic - thanks to awful defending and some sharp finishes. If only Baggies snatch 3pts - that would be icing..
they did bend over and lifted their backside against their First team on boxing day. shame! no wonder Sir Dave is cruising!
Congrats & thanks to Spuds to putting Moanu at theatre of mare!! Expect moanu to go out and buy everyone out there.. We have 9 pts between us & Moanu now. 9 pts is healthy lead for our title. still lot to play. Good day - happy new year
Never nice to see Spurs win but hilarious seeing Man U lose at home. That's surely them done and dusted for the title and top four now. Can't wait for us to hammer the final nail in later this month.
It just baffles me how anyone can consider City as firm favorites. They can't even beat Blackburn away. City adds to their matches count whereas we have less matches. For all I know -we might even get beat by Derby. That is better than a replay IMO.
Their away form has been poor all season and going off the last two performancies against Liverpool and Crystal Palace they have started to go the same way at home.
End of Jan we will have definitive answer.. either ways! We play 4 (5) matches and City play 7 Matches in this month. however, I don't have any issues when people consider City as favorites. But I don't expect more than 90% people picking them favorites. it should be like 50-50 between us and them; or atleast 40% to us and 60% to city!! \ should never be 10% us and 90% City. Manny hasn't proved anything yet. We don't know the complete character of City team yet..
City`s rating as champions elect is based on their perceived squad depth, take any one of Kompany, Silva, Yaya or Aguero out and the whole dynamic changes. They are more dependant on individual players than most other teams.
Yes, they are picked due to their squad. The exact reason, I don't pick them. this is not Barca squad we are talking about..
City are streets above every other team when it comes to the following: - Finishing in front of goal - Winning games when not playing well - Killing games off - Quality of squad - Squad depth - Experience/Winning mentality Given the above they are understandably favourites. Chelsea can't kill games off and grind out results (away from home). Arsenal lack squad depth and (IMO) the overall quality to win it. The only advantage I see for us over City is that both teams struggle away from home and they have by far the more difficult away fixtures to negotiate. Then again, we are a point behind a City having already beaten them at home, that means they've already outperformed us against the rest of the league, whose to say they won't over the next 18 games? I am quite sure City will beat every team in this league whereas we may only beat 17/19, Arsenal probably only 15/19.
good stuff DL. However, I would differ on the following: Winning games when not playing well - Only against Palace they have won when not playing well. Almost all other matches they were at their peak and still screwed up - Stoke, Sunderland Killing games off - No again. Villa, Cardiff. Think would be ranked near top to lose more points from winning position. Experience/Winning Mentality - I would say our squad is better than theirs especially considering Jose Factor!! P.S. While I type Forest are 4 goals up against Big Sam's Hams!!
If every team played their best City would come out on top. City haven't dropped a single point from a winning position since they played away at Southampton and won 8 out of their last 9 games. City might not win it, but they are clear favourites given Chelsea and Arsenal's obvious lack of firepower up front and lack of actual belief. Dzeko can't even get a look in and he has the top 5 goal:minute ratio since the Premier League has been going whilst we have Eto'o and Ba then Arsenal have Bendtner.
Not a bad day!! Bony wastes a good replay opportunity against moanu by scoring a wonderful header at old toilet
entire old toilet is deserted for the final mins when their team is trailing by a solo goal.. anyone can go in and take a dump or piss - it is SO EMPTY!!
