I'm kind of hoping ben arfa gets dropped and we go into the same setup we did against palace. Stoke did well against us without tiote (when they had 11 men). I think the 4-4-1-1 we played against palace would be good with cabaye at cam. However, if anita gets dropped, sissoko gets bumped in, and benny onto the right i wouldn't complain.

If we'd had a full week I'd agree but its a short turnaround and I fear a lethargic performance if we don't use the squad a little. It'll all depend on what was taken out of them the other day.

I think we should go with the above ACS formation. Try and do a Man U on them. Got to play smart against arsenal. Stop them playing and their defence can be got at. No Ramsey is a big plus. Him and Ozil playing together is very difficult to keep track of because they are so good at finding space even in tight situations.

Anyone watching West Ham v West Brom? Very noticeable who has freshened up their side. First half West Brom were very sharp. West Ham are slowly getting going but huffing and puffing a bit. West Brom made 6 changes and have shown good energy levels. They are now able to just try to keep the ball and hit West Ham with quick counters.

If we don't make changes (which I think is very risky), I hope we do a Benfica, try to suck the early legs out of them and then really ramp up. If we do make changes, then I'd look for a high tempo start and get ahead of the game.

If you are not watching WH v WBA then I would! What a game. WH just got two quick goals. Then WBA equalise. 3-3. Kev Nolan got hammers 2nd. First one was poor from Foster. WBA must be kicking themselves, mad 5mins. Great finish from Beharino.

Either way it would be a lot easier if we were playing against the West Ham or West Brom defence instead of Arsenal

Here's hoping we get to Arsenal right from the kick off and upset their passing game. Start like we did against Stoke and we'll be well behind by half time. This has the makings of a real good game.

Heard a voice from above saying that we'd win 2-0.

Every week I've predicted a loss, we've won... In the interest of science, I think it's only fair I disprove this theory. We'll win 2-1 today.

Possibly not for this game, but at somepoint in the not too distant future I'd like to see Haidara come in for Santon. The balance feels a little better when our left back has a left foot, and I feel a little more comfortable with Haidara at left back, he doesn't seem to easily beaten by aggressive wingers, and his positioning is better.

I predict that we will have a very fussy ref
who will blow for any slight infringement, but not backing up the same principle with the other team
    namely the Toon

if this ref gives us anything today it would be a miracle
noted for being a yes man and a kisser of the FA backside

Today is gonna be the perfect day for Hacky Sack. As the two longest serving managers go head to head, either way he wins. If Arsenal (and Wenger) win it will prove longevity pays and we should stick with our manager. If Newcastle win its shows Pardew is in fact God and we should stick with our manager. Either way we all join the Pardew love train.
