Perhaps this is a tenuous observation, but many regular posters have since met up. Does this change he dynamic? Are contributors to this message board likely to be less spiky? Similarly, do contributors also become more sensitive? Just a thought.
Cerny....sorry Sku Swords posted something similar a while ago and many poster said it made no difference.....I call Bullshit on that... Of course it does! i met up wit the melbourne boys & girls and think of them diffrently because of thier hospitality and the fact they are a great decent bunch. It probably both adds and takes away something from the board dynamic, but, QPR fans meeting anywhere in the world CANNOT be a bad thing
Absolutely. You're quite astute Sku lad. You must have missed it but I made a detailed assessment of that very issue a while back and it ran for a whole thread. Its a pity you weren't around when I broached the subject because I could have done with some help. It has undoubtedly affected the dynamic on the Board and for the worse in my opinion. Everything you have highlighted there is true.
I missed that thread, busy juggling work and home life during October and November, so was on the board less often. If you can post up a link I'll enjoy looking over it retrospectively. Is it locked?
You're making a right fuss over nothing swords. If you really want to chat with the guy, get his email address/phone number and knock yourself out. He was perma banned a while ago, everyone knew why. Fairly obvious what was gona happen if he created a thread with an opening gambit like this- "Plus can the soppy twats please stay off my thread with their off topic crap! ". What're the mods gona do, politely warn a permanently banned contributor to not make inflammatory offerings? I might make a rival thread complaining about him not being banned immediately when the Henry James account popped up. Why do the rules apply to some and not to others? Feel grateful you got a bonus dose of Cerny at all.
To be honest Swords, any respect i had for Cerny stopped the day he posted that a fellow 606'r should of actually succeeded in killing himself. Personally i thought that crossed the line completely and took childish insults and pathetic ITK's to a whole new level (Those i could take to some degree, though towards the end it got a bit dull). You, at least, can be funny in your wind ups (though i suspect not everyone agrees), and the banter you cause can be amusing. Cerny was just a plain a***hole.

Didn't know that, I thought he'd written what Sword's wrote. Surely that is only an opinion, A harsh opinion granted and one that on certain situations I happen to concurr with.
It's interesting to see that, when pressed, other contributors aren't far away from Cerny's opinions. Perhaps his sin was to portray these in an insensitive way? If that's the case, then surely we should not be punishing him indefinitely for his inability to articulate in softer tones what others are thinking, or in some cases committing these thoughts to words on this board. Returning to the thread in question, I seem to recall at the time that a new post was pulled immediately, out of respect of the situation, then reinstated at the explicit wishes of the Swansea fan concerned. I may have this wrong, so please forgive me if I recall the facts here erroneously.
