We didn't make the Play Offs before Bruce came in and he immediately got us promoted automatically. Completely different to a Cardiff team that had made an art form of leading the division only to nose dive.
I don't really see much difference in the context. They came close but never got promoted, we came close but never got promoted. We both got new managers who took us up a level and we both got automatic promotion. They both did great jobs in getting us promoted. Tan is a **** for sacking him.
Cardiff - 3 play-off appearances in successive seasons including a final loss City - 2 finishes of 8th and 11th Hardly comparable.
Nitpicking. If anything the Cardiff job needed better management to inspire them past that play-off hurdle which the previous managers couldn't do.
In fact with an owner named Vincent Tan surely that natural replacement for Malky would have to be Phil Brown?
