    Congratulations Yorkie & OFH.

Keep up the good work BB

Shirt pulling and manhandling players are two things in the game that make me sick and I would make them sending off offences. They should invent shirts that tear when pulled so that the offender is left holding the evidence!

Hope everyone is enjoying their own celebrations and felicitations at this time of good will to our visitors even if some of you can be a bit annoying at times (no names etc...)

Morning all from a chilly Jersey. My ex-wife took the boys to her dad in France yesterday for New Year, so I have the situation that I hate of the first weekend without them where I don't know what to do with myself. When they're with me, we don't necessarily do a lot, but at least they're here. According to the boys, when they get back to the island in a week, they'll be staying Saturday night with me which will mean youngest will be waking up here on the Sunday which is his 16th birthday, but she hasn't told me that.

WHAT KIND OF A NOISE ANNOYS AN OYSTER?
    by Crumit & Curtis
    as sung by Frank Crumit.

Lots of folks are worried over how they'll pay the rent.
Some folks are annoyed because they can't lay up a cent.
Others are perplexed about the latest picture show.
But there is really only just one thing that I'd like to know.
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster?
    No matter what I do
    The answer won't come through.
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster?
That's a question I would like an answer to.
A little piece of cheese annoys a mouse, there is no doubt.
But here's the one thing I've been trying hard to figure out:
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster
When an oyster's in a stew?

What kind of a noise annoys an oyster?
I asked them at the zoo.
They said they wish they knew.
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster?
That's a question I would like an answer to.
A piece of cheese annoys a mouse
    The mouse annoys in turn
The cat who then annoys the dog
    But still I cannot learn
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster
When an oyster's in a stew.

Oysters live a life within a very narrow scope.
One thing I've found out is that an oyster don't like soap.
I'll admit the problem's been a sticker from the go.
I've asked most everyone I've met, and no one seems to know
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster.
    I've figured till I'm blue,
    So now I'm asking you.
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster?
That's a question I would like an answer to.
The piece of cheese annoys the mouse
    The mouse annoys the cat
    The cat annoys the dog
The dog annoys your Sunday hat.
But, what kind of a noise annoys an oyster
When an oyster's in a stew.
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster?
I've asked each one I knew
    From here to Kalamazoo.
What kind of a noise annoys an oyster?
That's a question I would like an answer to.
Now, simple things annoy a lot of simple folks, you see.
And that's most likely why this question is annoying me.
But, What kind of a noise annoys an oyster
When an oyster's in a stew
    ?

    <yikes>

You say about players getting away with shirt-pulling, the biggest one was where he did tear the shirt. It was our away game at Leeds in 05/06. Near the halfway line the Leeds centre-half (Butler) ripped Henderson's shirt when both players went up for the ball, Henderson retaliated and was deservedly sent off, but Butler didn't even get a yellow.

    Afternoon all

Very quiet now all our visitors have gone. Hope everyone had a good time over Christmas. I think the smacking of lips is the noise which annoys an oyster most...

Malky to West Ham?- I would think Fat Sam's days will be numbered if the score remains the same.

Dave - have you ever considered Weston-Super-Mare Time? If you were to put your clocks back 2 hours then you would retire / arise in line with the rest of the country :)

Good shout Harry, but I'm not so sure I could fool my over-active brain! I quite like being up when all is quiet, my old bones can't take the turmoil of too much early interaction! <ok>

morning all! I was up for a frosty run at 8am this morning...the Aquadrome is gorgeous at the moment...the frosty paths, the early morning sun on the lakes...the ducks and swans..just beautiful. Who could mind running early when there's so much naturally stunning scenery. :)

Happy belated Christmas everyone, and happy new year. I'm loving the season now. Ipswich was a blast, Millwall...well, no words necessary..and hopefully positivity today. I'm so looking forward to getting our own back at Yeovil! It's going to be a great couple of days in Somerset for me :)...i'm so excited!

    So, how's everyone doing?
