I think his attitude has been open to criticism over the last two games at times. No urgency at times, slow to get back when out of position and quite openly arguing with Austin. A very good player but does he look hungry and committed? Given what has happened last season, maybe we're all a bit hypervigilant about players attitudes.

When BAE was mooted as a possible loan transfer, I doubted on here his credentials as being 'the right sort', but was prepared to accept that HR's knowledge of the player meant that there should not be a problem. It now seems to me that this faith was misplaced. BAE is undoubtedly a top player, and way too good for the Championship, but, as time goes by, it becomes plain that his heart just isn't in it. The minor fracas with Austin seems to me to me to be symptomatic of exactly the kind of internal discord that Redknapp told us was to blame for last year's farce. For Bosingwa read Assou-Ekotto.

We will lose a top player if he goes back, but it will be for the best.

    Meanwhile, Redknapp's credibility sinks further.

What are talking about, maybe in your mind but certainly not in mine or I feel the majority of supporters.

Clearly another talented player with the wrong attitude. Giving up racking back yesterday simply because he saw the linesman had his flag up is unforgivable.

Well, he was employed to keep us up last year and failed. His fault? - no, it was that the players weren't good enough. But weren't these people that were Champions League winners, International players and proven Premier League footballers? Well, he said, there were problems in the dressing room. But isn't it your job to sort that out 'Arry - you are the great motivator, aren't you? Well no, it was too deep-seated, I couldn't do anything, he said. Might as well **** off then 'Arry? Well yeah, but I want to be paid off. Not gonna happen? - OK, but I need to bring in my own people - the right sort.

    Sorted?

You know what Flanners (I feel we might share a surname by the way) - I'm not a moaner by nature, but this man just gets my goat. Nothing is ever his fault. He consistently makes poor team selections, and we are playing in a terribly negative manner and with no passion. We have the best squad in the division by a mile, but we are so bad to watch.

I agree increasingly with what you write here Stroller. With the squad we have we should be playing better and scoring more.

I seem to have struck a chord with this thread. Many share the same fear as mine.

If we share a name did we used to have a player by the same name? :)

Your last comment makes more sense to me, if you don't like Harry that is your business I quite like him this is personal choice.

All managers deflect blame that is in their nature and I don't think Harry is any worse than most, to be fair he inherited a totally disjointed squad with players with poor attitudes and tried a quick fix in January that didn't work, I personally do not blame him for last season, that lays firmly at Hughes feet.

I agree that some of his team selections have been questionable but we are sitting 3 points from top spot and my point of view is to trust him as he is getting it right more often than not. And I also agree that we appear to have a negative slant to our games but also see this the same way as my previous comment, only 3 points behind. Passion is a hard thing to measure and as a lot of our players have not played in this league I think quite a lot are still coming to terms with this league.

By the way not a lot of credit must go to our opposition who are all making it difficult for our players to play their true games and I feel this gets overlooked by many on the board, give credit to our opponents as they are all playing 110% because we are the favourites with the money, this also covers in some way your point about being bad to watch.

I agree on paper that we have the best squad but remember lots of the teams around us have been playing in the same team for quite some time and know each others style of play we effectively have a new team which does not bode well for the future. Three teams spring to mind that have built slowly from the lower leagues Norwich, Swansea & Southampton and have built gradually from strong foundations I don't know where our foundation is to be honest.

I personally always thought this was going to be a big ask this year and kind of expected to see the type of football we are watching except with a poorer league position so I am thrilled with the results so far, IF we get promoted expect to see the same type of football for the next couple of seasons as yet another new team will take a couple of seasons to blend and that is just how it is if we want to progress, IMHO.

P.S. Glad to hear you are not a moaner by nature ;)

Of course last season was primarily down to Hughes, but the fact remains that Redknapp inherited a highly talented squad and couldn't get them to play. He has since had the opportunity to clear out the bad apples and the board has backed him with signings, but he still seems unable to get the best out of the players at his disposal. Something is wrong.

If the player you are referring to appeared in the '82 final, then yes.

But has BAE always had this so called attitude or is it just when he joined us? Some players just have that 'don't care' look about them when they play...like Berbatov and dare I say it...our own Adel Taarabt. BAE always seemed to me as a laid back sort anyway. Maybe he wouldn't die for us in a footballing sense, but he's still better than what we have and better than what most teams in this division have. So no...let's NOT get rid because he, like all the team, have looked poor.

Let's just add him to the list of players that posters here want to get rid of or see dropped....like Green (amazingly), Dunne, Jenas, Henry, O'Neill, Carroll, Barton, SWP, Kranjcar, Benayoun (already), Johnson, Zamora.....oh and Redknapp.
