Just a little help really, this article says âThe six Welsh clubs playing in the English league system have previously been dealt with solely by the FAW.â Who are they Cardiff and Swansea........? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13730253.stm
Swansea City play in the Premier League (as of 2011–12). Cardiff City play in the Football League Championship (as of 2011–12). Newport County and Wrexham play in the Conference National (as of 2011–12). Colwyn Bay play in the Conference North (as of 2011–12). Merthyr Town play in the Western Football League Division One (as of 2011–12).
You may as well have said: Shrewsbury, Wellington, or Hereford. They're all in the borderlands, or the Welsh Marches...
I may well have done had I thought of them, but I just questioned Chester, what with the ground being in Wales like.
No, Doggie, it isn't. Very near, to be sure, but not quite. http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en...ocal_result&ct=image&resnum=2&ved=0CD0QnwIwAQ
The border goes through the ground. (As shown if you click "satellite" on your link.) Here ya go. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chester_City_F.C. Chester played their home games at the Deva Stadium. The ground and stands are geographically inside Wales with just the club offices situated in England.
