Did you watch the game Boss? Carroll was his usual ineffectual self and Ekotto, who's undoubtedly a very talented player, couldn't give a toss. Very disappointed with the pair of 'em. Kranjcar, now there's a player I like. Skillful and seems to actually care. Still doesn't look 100% fit though.
Niko Kranjcar is one of those players who never looks fit. Runs as if he's running through treacle and is seemingly blowing after 5 minutes. Yet he is still putting the work in 85 minutes later. I saw your game last weekend and some of his passing was sublime. He is clearly still a very good player.
Probably means he's coming back though, if he doesn't give a toss about QPR any more he must be on the move.
But isn't Benny supposed to be the consummate professional? Surely, he wouldn't **** his current team mates over (the way he ****ed AVB over), simply because he's on the move? How lucky we are to have a player who displays such integrity.
I saw some of the game and yes it wasn't a great performance by such players! but Carroll was unlucky not to score so that may be clutching at straws! I notice Redknapp keeps Carroll always on for 90 minutes, that tells me he knows right now how important him playing 90 minutes is and I'm hoping he starts to win you over. As for Ekotto, when he was at spurs, opinion was divided, thats why you keep hearing from his "fanbase" that we desperately need him back and over praising him, but if they remember his actual performances they where hit and miss and while he is no doubt a talented player, he does go through periods when he is ineffective, walks around like he couldn't care and makes errors. He isn't this "top three in the country" full back people would have you believe, even our mate Redknapp is being sly with his comments.
Probably clutching at straws a bit mate! That effort took a wild deflection and forced the keeper to tip it over the bar. Harry ain't infallible either. I'm sure you noticed he started Bobby "Donkey Kong" Zamora, even though the bloke's only just had a hip operation and can barely walk let alone run! I don't want to slate a young lad who obviously has footballing ability and probably a good future ahead of him but alas, he's just not suited to the current team and league he's in. As you and I agreed before, he's the type of player who will play well in a good team and in a good league. But in a sh*t team and even shi*tier division, he's struggling big time. I agree 100% with you on this one Boss. A guy with plenty of football in his feet but unfortunately not a lot of desire in his heart. Players like him drive me mental because the least you expect from a guy who earns tens of thousands in one week is that he'll give it his all for the 90 minutes he's asked to perform. I don't know if you saw much of Taarabt when he was with you but I could never stand him either and I hope he stays at Fulham. All trickery but about as much heart as a Sloth. As for old droopy face himself, he really needs to do summink wiv us fast or we'll tumble down the table and our season will be in ruins. He has no fit strikers at the Club. Zero. How he thought he could get through a season with a pair of sick notes like Andy Johnson and Zamora is beyond me. It was a terrible oversight, bordering on criminal. Its time for Redknapp to earn his salary! P.S. How do you feel about Sherwood's appointment? I've no doubt he's held in the highest esteem by you lads but has he just been placed in there to be a yes man for Levy and that other geezer?
Bad news for HAIG potentially..... http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/pre...efender-set-for-spurs-return.php#.Ur3Zj3mYZdc
It's bad news for me,but as long as it's only cover for Rose,i can take that, but it won't help us otherwise
I remember one of Taarabts early games for us, West Ham away, tried to take on their entire defence, won a free kick and Berba scored! He never played much for us but when he did, you know the script, dribble, dribble, dribble, fall over or run into a brick wall! But to be fair to Adel he could be a decent player with a different mentality, but the Taarabt that he believes he is, belongs in the Championship as I know he done wonders in the Championship. Redknapp likes his tried and tested players mixed with some young talent, he will believe Zamora and Johnson are proven, he knows what he's getting, same with Jenas, Green and Barton but it looks like you're crawling your way to promotion. Would that matter if it lacks style? Probably not but when Promoted Redknapp would at least prepare you to survive. Sherwood in general isn't liked, if you go on Google you will find articles, video clips, where he is mouthing off, from sticking the boot into Hoddle, saying he's an Arsenal fan, demanding he was hired............. Mouthy is OK if you have talent or some substance yet all Sherwood keeps saying is '' It's a simple game!''...... '' the players are hearing a new voice ''. Not many hold him in high esteem, apart from Levy! But and it's important but. Sherwood deserves a chance to see if he can show if he's managerial material and if he's a success fans will forget his gooner past or mouthing off................. Until he screws up!
Not really bothered by it, as I would rather have Rose and Benny as back-up, rather than put Naughton at LB. Also, as much as I am deeply suspicious of Sherwood's lack of managerial experience, I am willing to accept that he isn't stupid, and play Benny when Rose is fast becoming the preferred option.
Good post Boss. And today we saw the other Ekotto against Watford. He was spraying balls around the park for fun, dribbling his way out of tight spaces and always finding someone with the ball. Fantastic performance. When he gives a sh*t he's top drawer. Same old from Carroll though. Didn't do much and was hooked on 70 minutes.
Just seen reports, says you dominated but played with no recognised striker? I can understand why there are doubts over Redknapp and Carroll as you're not there to give the benefit of the doubt to people you rate, you're just commenting on your team and performance. I'll be shocked if you don't get promoted and if that happens Redknapp would need to accept he failed your club, as a manager of his ability, and with the squad he has, should finish top two. You're probably in a bizarre way missing the days of Adel and Warnock lighting up the Championship, even if you ended up forming a negative opinion of them once promoted!
Thanks Swords and exactly the reason why we should recall him. I rate Rose highly but it would be nice to have some decent competition for him.
He could be in trouble again boys: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-tweet-inviting-comedian-White-Hart-Lane.html
