OK, O wise one, what makes you massively superior to us, except your delusions of grandeur?

I take Kyle and the doomers with a pinch of salt these days. Sorry to pick on you Kyle but you are pretty ****ing morose most of the time <laugh> I didn't see the match thread today but I can imagine some of the stuff that was being said when we went behind. It actually ends up being quite funny, because the rants inevitabley come back with full fired egg slapped in the face a few minutes later <ok>

I don't think I have ever claimed to know everything about football. In fact I repeatedly say that I don't think I am qualified to critique games and players.

What I am questioning is you and your fellow doomers continued negative pronouncements of our play and players. If your views were more knowledgeable you would be higher up the predictions league.

It's your claims that you think you know more than other posters that annoys most methinks.

    comfortable ?

47 mins of NOTHING and then going a goal down .

Yeah we were comfortable after we equalised ....because they collapsed.

But going a goal down then having to go chasing a game , against relegation fodder .

We should NOT still be having to do that .

saw 2 many games like that last season , dont start really trying until you go a goal down .

Large portions of that game were far from comfortable but of course no one is allowed to say that .
against a better defence thats experienced in bus parking that could have been embarassing.

Good job it was west ham and not a better team

    3 points , job done ..

mmmm , not really negative just honest .

we played fucking cr@p in the first half but if we win we cant mention it ...

Pod and Theo saved the game , but a large portion was down to West ham collapsing totally .............cant mention that either .

This is why when we DO play a good team and we DONT get a chance to put the same mistakes right ........its all a bit .............mmmmmmmmmm

Personally, I couldn't give a **** if we win playing beautiful football, ugly football, lucky football, or whatever. As long as we win I'm happy. In fact sometimes it makes winning feel that much more precious if we win by the skin of our teeth. There's no way we can expect us to play silky free flowing football and dismantle teams with ease every week. It's great to see when we do, but totally unrealistic to expect it all the time.

It's my opinion and I take responsibility for it and wouldn't expect anybody to necessarily agree with me if they chose not to, but for those fans who want to whinge and find fault with every little detail when we win, I say **** them. They are not with me, I'm standing with the Gooner who jumps around and goes mental with me in the stands when we score a scrappy goal in the last minute of playing a crappy game. Not the one who wants to criticise every last ****ing detail because we didn't win in an acceptable manner.

I've never known Arsenal fans be any different, there has always been a negative element.
The crowd I go to games with are all generally all late 40s or older, everyone has seen a thousand Arsenal games, yet many still offer nothing positive to say.

I don't get how anyone can criticise a performance away from home in a London derby against a team who we've had a reasonable rivalry with for many years and come away with a 3-1 win.

For me we weren't desperate in the 1st half, we bossed possession but couldn't finish any of our chances, we had a real wobble straight after half time but came back into it and won going away.
We weren't as solid defensively as you'd like and our finishing wasn't great, but we kept going and our quality got us over the line and if offered any 3 pointgs away from home you take it regardless of how it comes.
Pod coming back is a massive plus as was the performances of Walcott and Santi.

Massive test Sunday against a team who continue to surprise....

Mention it all you want ... AFTER the game.

Again, people seem to be utterly missing the point and just flinging their **** around. You do that in every other thread, just leave it out of this one, can't you? The only point to be made is that this isn't about Giroud or "our desire" or any other justification you want to come up with. It doesn't matter if you're right. It matters that you don't be negative DURING games.

    This

Some people seem more interested in wanting to see us play crap and lose so that they don't lose face about being such moaning bastards. We are top of the league and if people can't celebrate that, then I say **** them.

Or.... Some people just think Giroud isn't good enough for the first team? Could it be that??

As a mod Piskie, presumably some sort of warning has been sent to TT about his insulting and swearing?

The fortunes of Arsenal come down to more than one player mate. But you'd think we were in the bottom half judging by some of the comments on here.

And I've been politely asking all of those who want to launch personal insults at each other to tone it down for months. We don't really need it, but people want to carry on doing it. I'm hoping that it dies down a bit but to be honest I've been enjoying Christmas with my family and I can't really be ****ed to sort out the silly spats over nothing on here.

Eat, drink and be Merry <cracker>

I read through that match thread yesterday and all I saw were some frustrated comments annoyed when we went 1-0 down. No real doom and gloom like some have bandied around.

You might like to say that there are one or two that revel in arsenal losing, but I'd say it's just as fair to say there's one or two on here who exaggerate that negativity just so they can have a go at said negative posters for being overly negative when they're not really being that negative at all.

Slating players unfairly is unnecessary (although on a forum which will have no impact on said player, I don't see what harm it can do to the team as a whole unless you're suggesting they read these forums?). Similarly, sticking up for players unfairly is also unnecessary.

Criticism and praise should be earned by performances, not just given because a certain player simply plays for your club.

And hilariously claiming to be a lawyer or have coaching badges makes your opinion no more valid than anyone else's ;)

Am i missing the point of a match thread ?
should it be renamed the positive match thread ?

If so there should be 2 threads , one for people who want to say what they think and another for people who want to say ONLY positive things .

It seems you want no one to post anything as the game is being played , in real time .

Gosh , how exciting that would be .

Or do you just want positive things to be said while the game is on ?

Just like on the terraces where fans ONLY shout positive things during the game .

    NOT !

what a ridiculous thing to say .

    heres your ideal match thread.

member 1 "We are playing not at our best but fortunately we arent losing yet ."

    member 2 "Yes i agree "

member 1 "Good , then its agreed then we shall remain in silence until something positive happens ."

    member 2 " top idea "

    :laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

" it matters that you dont be negative during the gameS "

    wtf ?

why does it matter ...you think the players are keeping up with our "debate " on their twitters as they are a playing .

Nothing I say here matters , just as nothing you say here matters , but you sir ..are trying to prevent me from even saying it ... something i would NEVER do to you or anyone.

i think the posts are very negative during the matches and i do not really understand it. Saying that i do not understand this thread at all. During a match how can players be reading these posts? Surely even if they did see posts it would be between matches? i am confused<confused>
