I don't want to sound a prude by any means, however, is anyone else sick & tired of some of the chants from (what seems to be) a large minority of 'fans' which we're hearing more & more regularly?

Last night you could clearly hear the (predictable) ' If you're watching on the telly you're a c..t' chant (the irony was that it was hard not watch it on telly, when we've sold out our allocation !!??) The 'c' word in particular was one you never, ever, used to anyone not so long ago. And, if you did, you would probably have got a deserved chinning from the 'recipient'

I'm sure Leeds are not alone in this, but such language hardly endears us to neutrals, the media etc. And, as a father who might be thinking of bringing their kids along, would you really want them to experience this? I've spoken to a few people of late who are from the Leeds area & have commented about this, and won't go for that reason alone - preferring to watch other teams whose fans are, allegedly, much less 'vulgur'

Does the Premiership attracts the more 'discerning' fans? Rant over!!

less vulgar fans are also more boring and less passionate.

Come back when the "offensive" chants are personal.

Some of the chants are a bit irritating, but that's life. I suspect Sky might ensure they don't cover Leeds games as often, which won't help our finances. C'est La Vie

They haven't reduced coverage so far. We're still the most in demand team in the Championship and that's all they care about, viewing figures.

I appreciate what your saying, but that's a 'one size fits all' kind of approach

I think when a group, normally blokes get together, have a few beers and lose their inhibitions, that is the result.

It could well be a release mechanism, as they would not be allowed to act that way at home.

Bit unfair Glory. Marko has a point, but this is footy with a lot of passionate fans. Sometimes the language can get a bit colourful. Feel slightly sorry for the Ince family, but Ince junior will get over it

The money men ruin everything. They think "oh we can make some more money out of this, but first we have to strip it of all its character and personality"

Can't say I like hearing the swearing etc. from a Grampa wishing to take his grandson point of view. Sadly, I'm one of the worst culprits!

To be fair to the Leeds fans, the amount of swearing in day to day life has increased exponentially over the last 20 years or so. And if you think it's bad down here, have a wee trip up to Glasgow. <doh>

Wow, first day posting on this site. Are all the Millwall boys as witty and clever as mighty? He is like the Oscar Wilde of the Den.
