Deserves a thread of his own. The pick of the 3 CB's for me. First tackle on Welbeck and straight into the next one on Cleverley (i think). Got the crowd up that one. Then a great one on Rooney second half.

If only Hudd and Jake had that bit of nasty in their game. They both try and nick the ball instead of a proper crunching tackle.

Anyone who thinks AB was at fault for Rooneys goal clearly knows nowt or has never played the game.

Great ball in from Evans to Rooneys chest, AB up his arse. Rooney lays it wide to Welbeck. AB backs off like a good defender should, as you are worried it will be knocked in behind you. Curtis knicks it off Welbeck straight into Rooneys path. One touch and a fantastic shot. Sometimes you just have to say great play.

Well done AB. His nose is going to end up like his old mans anarl. Cracked it on the post and gets straight up. ****ing ace.

He had a huge grin on his face too when he had blood dripping off his nose. He's like Ashbee cept he can tackle. He commands that back 3 or 4 too.

I genuinely think he's been our player of the season so far. I know the top scorer gets the limelight, and sometimes the goalie, but he's earnt us as many points as any scorer.

    Bruce for Captain!

He's gonna end up looking like his old man if he keeps nutting goal posts!

I still think his passing leaves a lot to be desired and that's one of the reasons I couldn't understand why Bruce Snr put him in a defensive midfielder role last season. Also he was prone to picking up an injury every few games last season so didn't get a decent run.

But yes, the performances this season have been excellent.

His tackling is brilliant and he's good with his head, but with the ball at his feet, he's poor.

The 3-5-2 in really suiting him this season...if he makes a poor choice Chester and Davies are there to pick up the pieces. Huddlestone sitting deep also helps him in that he can just lay it off to the pass master

The bit that made me laugh with the Cleverley tackle was that the two of them were going for a 50:50 ball, and Bruce seemed to pull out of it nice and early just so he could put the tackle in.

Did I hear right that when the Man Utd fans started singing 'We all hate Leeds scum', which was clearly aimed at Bruce( he was receiving treatment right in front of them) some divvy's from the East Stand joined in and applauded?

Maybe I'm going senile but I'm sure that's what happened.
