I've been down South in the Falklands twice over the summer, and they also celebrate "Fixmas" (Falklands Islands Xmas, genius eh?) on the 25th June. In truth I always thought it was made up by the military out there and was just an excuse to get pissed/take peoples minds off the fact they're nearly at the arse end of the world. You got me thinking now Mrs BMB, it might be a Falkland Islander thing.

At least the weather there was christmassy with snow. and wind. and rain. and sun. Mad place that.

Regarding the cats, personally don't like cats although I see the need for you to have them there. My terrier often brings in a badger, naturally after dispatching it also.

Do you have a shed Mrs BMB?

Pretty shocked Clarke put England in. Even with the overhead conditions.

Pretty decent start by England. They look alot more positive. Not sure if its because there's less pressure.

I've lost all interest in the Ashes and it's not just because England have blown it. Back to back series should never have been arranged. It's killed it.

    More woeful batting by England.

    91 for 1 to 226 for 6. Pathetic.

It was done like this because Ashes in Australia always clashed with the 50 over world cup. They wanted to avoid in future years.

The last time it clashed England spent less then a week in England between the end of October to beginning of May abd they where knackered for the English Summer.

Can Mitchel Johnson just have a ****ing shave?

Everytime I see him I have the urge to book flights, track him down and give him a slap.

Everytime I see him I want to break out into YMCA or Macho Man. This is very sad, I know.

Tsk, such a Thursday attitude. Haven't you heard? It's Friday and England are ace again apparently.

You watch this last wicket stand will be worth 100 and give The Aussies a lead.

We need to take this wicket very quickly and take a decent lead going into the second innings, this is an area( amongst others) that has really let us down on this tour.

    We've got a lead of 51.

I expected it would be less in all honesty, such is our inability to knock the tail over.

Anyways we need to bat well now and put 300+ on the board.

Bill Lawrie just stated day 3 is the best time to bat at The G.

I can't believe what I've just seen in the past 10 minutes. After Carberry went, Root and Bell completely got themselves out and we're up **** creek yet again.

They were doing just fine until I decided I couldn't sleep and I'd get up to watch...
