Here's a question for you, how many of you would have bet your house on Everton at home to Sunderland? **** happens, you have to deal with it or spend the rest of your life as a miserable old sod!

Yeh but there's such a thing as a balanced opinion, to say we were awful today simple isn't true.

Didn't say I was happy, more expressing how fickle football fans are. Doesn't seem to take much for everyone to change their opinions.

utter **** for the whole of 2013, of course we have been utter ****e, that's why we didn't get relegated and why we are currently clear of the relegtion zone, to say we are utter ****e is utter ****e itself. Yes there is a lot of room for improvement, but going to most of the away games, I've still enjoyed myself

I'm sorry, Dave, but I can't agree with you. If there was ANY sign that things are turning round, even the slightest hint of creativity and confidence and freedom and simply pleasure amongst the players. There is none. The points we have picked up this season have been from dour, attritional performances (except for possibly the first game of the season against Everton). I think we are very lucky to have 19 points on the board because frankly I watched Hull today and they were much much better than us. Yes, Hull. They lost in the end, but they had a go and they pushed MU all the way and they clearly believed they could get a result. I doubt if we'll see the same belief in our players on Saturday.

And that is down to the manager. Period.

Is anyone who doesn't want to see CH sacked a "happy clapper"? At the moment he is not taking us down as you suggest and how are they "easily good enough to survive"?

Yes, but it comes back to what we have been talking about for the last two months - it is not just today's game or even a recent thing. It is getting close to one whole year that the football has been largely pretty grim. I think most of us do not expect City to be a top 10 side, but it is ugly, perhaps too ugly for most to appreciate.

Like a few on here, I am a lover of a nice passing game and fast attacking football - there is no evidence of this anymore, and for me it is truly awful to watch now.

The thing is that people say this was a great opportunity to put a healthy gap from the relegation zone, I'm sure the teams we have played have looked at Norwich as a good opportunity for points as we are a bottom half side. I wish there was some objectivity from folk on here but alas there isn't

The reason we stayed up last season was because we had 25 points at the turn of the year. OK, Hughton deserves some credit for that, but his performance in 2013 has been absolutely woeful.

Granted peoples' opinions do seem to change with the wind on here.

I still think we should keep Hughton until the end of the season as I think he will keep us up. Look what happened to Wolves when they go rid of MM.

On a positive note I thought Elmander played very well before being taken off.

Can't defend that performance today. Never got out of second gear all game. I counted three players who played their best, 5 passengers, 1 player being greedy and two who looked like they didn't care. We were unlucky to lose but would have been lucky to get a positive result at the same time; make of that what you will!

When have we ever had that? Not in the last 10 years at least. In fact very few teams play like that.

But if we have been utter ****e, that means we should be at the bottom, but we're not so I guess the other teams have been utter utter utter ****e or utter utter ****e and those just above like villa just ****e? Nonsensical term for any PL team

Fair enough, and I agree stick with CH until the end of the season. If you want a change, that is the bes time to have one and get the right man in.

Sorry, that was not meant to be offensive. I call myself a pants-wetter. I apologise if you found me offensive.

    On your other points:

Over the results of 2013, he IS taking us down.

I say they are 'easily good enough to survive' because they survived for two seasons and we now have a group of players (Hooper, Fer, Olsson, RvW) who are clearly better than the players they replaced.

Good players need freedom. Mediocre players need either inspiration or discipline. From what I see, Hughton has no idea at all how to work with good players.

It will be interesting to see if there are some players brought it during the transfer window, I can see CH staying till the end of the season, if we scrape survival I think CH will be on his way
