The matchday thread, after West Ham scored.

"Looks like a fight for the top 4 then"
"Well, we ain't winning the league this season"
"I said before that etc etc"

If any single one of you were asked before the season if you would take being 2nd at Christmas, a point behind the leader ... you would've bitten their f***ing hand off.

And the point is that the fans going all moany and negative the instant we don't do well for any period of time, even if it's a half of football, has to filter through to the players. They're not unaware of fans and their attitudes. There is absolutely no point suggesting that we crumble under pressure when part of the pressure is your own fault. If you don't believe in their ability, how the hell are they meant to?

Maybe cheer the team for 90 minutes when they're playing, and make whatever negative comments you want after we lose?

The comments where absolutely hilarious in the matchday thread, especially when you consider we finished the game comfortably with 3 away goals.

    My personal favourites where definately:

"battle to try and get top 4" - And then we finished the game top of the table.

And even better, "i knew when supposed first team players like Walcott came back we would decline" - Walcott scores two goals and totaly terrorises thee defence.

We are all human. But I do not like it when the game is over and someone decides to get clever. I have not seen these clever posts about "hillarious comments" when we were behind. So either say it straight away, or shup up.

I stand by what I said, which is Giroud was ****ING USELESS, and he was. He shouldn't be starting anytime soon, Bendy and Podolski ahead of him for me.

The match threads are just a commentary on whats happening in a game, of course people are going to say things when we go behind against a relegation team. If people still post rubbish at full time, then you can complain about it

<laugh> So useless he gave created the goal that put us in comfort zone. Did you watch last season where Giroud and Podolski's link up created so many goals. For all his faults Giroud>Podolski at CF.

I always say it straight, all you pessimistic doom mongers get called up for it regularly. It's not just getting clever after the result, it's a constant battle to make the negative posters realise they are totally over the top and overeact on a regular basis..

That doesn't stop the comments being completely hilarious. Well over the top critisism because everything is black and white to people, we are either amazing or **** and there is nothing in between. You have to admit reading back through that matchday thread is funny..

You forget the chances he should have scored, that meant we went behind? And if West Ham were better at finishing, could have been 2-0, your spin job on Giroud isn't going to work anymore, he was ****, end of story. Tell me how long Giroud's gone without scoring? Then come back with your laughing.

Yes, we have earned the victory unlike ManU today, but West Ham were unbelievably poor after they conceded the first one.

This isn't a post about us this match in particular or about Giroud or about any of that, so using them as justifications is meaningless. This happens when we go behind EVERY SINGLE GAME.

And to those saying that it's just on the forum and you would cheer if you were at the game ... the volume level goes down at the game as well far too much. This mindset DOES filter back to the players, and it's damaging. So stop making excuses and realise that there's a time and a place for making negative comments, and during the game is NOT one of them.

Watch the Giroud assist again. The ball was played to him and he got closed down by the defence who had him with his back to goal and with no chance of shooting himself. He looked like he was losing the ball but toe poked it to the only player near him, the only thing he could do. It then took a cracking shot from that player to score, so who should get the credit?

And its not about being negative, its about wanting Arsenal to show some real desire to win things and compete with the best. The signing of Ozil did that, but having Giroud as our main striker does not. We've had years of having the most expensive tickets in the country and selling our best players so a bit of frustration coming out on a forum is not the worst we could be doing. I just want us to spend some of the rumoured money we have had in the bank (consistently £70m+ for a few years according to these rumours and up to £130m in the bank last summer of which we only spent £42m) on a decent striker.

And I'll call you a ****. Like I said elsewhere, you may think you are being realistic, but you are just being an asshole. I don't even come on here in games anymore because you guys are such pricks. You know **** all about football, and it is just the same old tune played over and over again.

No real Arsenal supporter wants to read what you are writing, so **** off to the Spurs board where I am sure they will be more receptive.

Honestly why do you come on these forums ever? Normally you just disagree with most people and arrogantly assume your opinion is correct and that you represent an ideal and real 'fan' (whatever that means).

But now with this post you've just gone into slightly deranged territory throwing swearing and insults around. Do you realise almost the entirety of your rant there could quite easily be talking about yourself?
