    Just the four then....

Means we can say 'home or away, we always beat Millwall 4-0 on Boxing day....' ;)

I wish the confidence claimed from today lasts until Queens Park Rangers can be beaten.

I hope that it lasts a lot longer than that AK - right to the end of the season will do me. <laugh>

A bit early to get too excited. Millwall are a very poor side at the best of times and playing 80 minutes with only ten men didn't improve them. The real test comes Sunday I think.

Big sigh of relief, but the real test will be on Sunday. Good confidence booster though.

Despite the pens and the red card I still thought DurrrSo was rubbish. He didn't want to give the second pen even though he had a good view. Mind you, I still haven't forgiven him for not giving us a pen in the final minute against Forest on Boxing Day a few years back, so maybe I'm biased.

    Onwards and upwards COYH.

A bit dangerous though when players start to pick and choose managers - if you were the new manager who can you trust?

A pub team would beat us at the moment.

Millwall were poor (we can only beat what is in front of us) but focussing on the positives we looked more solid at the back and had some cutting edge... the over elaboration has been ditched for the most part... cleared off the post from a Millwall corner - a certain goal under GFZ. We got the basics right, had a break early on (that said, 10 or 11 we'd still have given them a stuffing).

I thought the crowd were subdued, especially for a 4-0 win with a new manager. The King is dead; long live the king and all that. Disappointing effort. Seems to me GS has just tweaked a few things. No wholesale changes, a slight difference in style - more compact at the back but reintroducing our cutting edge. His touchline show was superb!

    A promising start!

Fair summary Fez. I thought that FF played further forward which meant that when we attacked we weren't too deep to start with and we seemed to get more bodies in the box than we have done of late. Also, we chanced our arm with some shots. Like you, I enjoyed the show on the touchline.

I would have been very surprised and disappointed if GS (surely should be BS?) had made wholesale changes a la Harry Bassett. I would suggest that, given time, a whole new team and style of play will emerge - whether it will be successful, only time will tell. After all it did take GFZ a third of a season to mould his team.

Then, of course, he had to start again.....

I should stay away more often. First game I've missed for ages and we win 4-0. Still, very small grandson can now say, "Come on, Hornets..."

    Good solid professional performance.

Encouraging to see so many efforts on goal and lots of good forward play.
