Lallana is about the least likely player to leave us. The younger ones may after a few years getting first team experience, but Adam is Saints through and through...if he can get picked for England playing for us, why would he move? Only money...no doubt he will get pay rises...how much do you need? Never say never...because things at the club may change...but he won't leave in the near future.
I have always said on here, to colleagues at work and to my friends that Lallana will never leave Southampton.
£15m? They must be joking...how much did Man U pay for that useless mop headed giant from Everton? Insulting estimate of Adams worth to Saints....go away Moyes!
I could see just about any player leaving us if United came knocking....except Adam. I hope I'm right.
No, because for him to go to Man U, Cortese would first have to accept a transfer bid, which would mean that they've met his (likely sky high) valuation. If that happens, there's absolutely no reason to hate Lallana, unless he has done something underhanded to force the issue. However, that's likely moot. I cannot see them forking over the kind of money that would make Cortese consider selling Lallana, and I cannot see Lallana attempting to force his hand.
The exciting thing about Lallana is he is just beginning to show his true potential. He has always been a good player, but that can be hard to judge in the lower league. He is now showing that he can look good against top PL and international players and will probably not peak for a couple of years. There is always a risk with younger players, but you know what you are getting with a 25-yr-old...15 million for Adam is an insult...you'd only get him for that from a lower league side. Cortese won't answer the phone for that!
