    ****ing hate that. I also hate people (ahem... Nile Ranger) who say random mis-spelt **** with the last letter of each word repeated several times.

    I pick up on it too often, I'm not anal over grammar/spelling or owt like that but when people seem to be completely unable to string a sentence together it makes me wonder about the youth of today (I'm only 26 ffs)

    I understood why they did it back in the day when texting first became popular, trying to fit everything into a little message was important when you're 14 and skint so could only afford to top up with £15 per month or something.... but on facebook when it's unlimited message space, why?! Urgh.

    I had a CV sent through to me and quite a bit of it was in txt speak and slang.

    I sent it back to the person with a covering letter asking for it to be translated back into correct English and only then would I review it.

    The CV was returned a day later and was all in order. I then sent him a refusal letter stating that the role required a competent developer who could get the solution to an issue resolved at the first pass and perhaps he should have treated his CV with much more respect.

    I once knew a guy who killed himself after his amended CV was rejected because the original should have been given more respect. Canny lad he was.

    He never did it again though so I guess you can say it was a harsh lesson that had to be learnt.

    Tough on the causes of CV neglect.
