Considering going for a stadium tour soon, obviously will be going on a non matchday but just wondered what the parking situation around the ground is and if there anywhere I could safely leave my car for a few hours while I do it. Thanks.
Park Lane is only limited on match days and possibly overnight. I'm sure you can park there during the day.
"Considering going for a stadium tour soon, obviously will be going on a non matchday but just wondered what the parking situation around the ground is and if there anywhere I could safely leave my car for a few hours while I do it." The new Sainsburys might be an option. I'll check on the T&Cs (the stores usually have parking Nazis who will clamp your car if you're there too long) .
Thanks, just wondered if any of u drove to the game and knew of any 'unknown' spaces that save me going by train or having to pay loads, or walk miles.
New Sainsburys looks very risky (saw an article about someone getting tucked up by a car clamping firm) . Was thinking about the old Sainsburys (Brantwood Rd) too. Don't think the parking spaces are blocked up, but obviously you haven't got reams of eyes on the cars even if you used it.
"I drive to games and park a couple of miles away. Walk 20 minutes. Never a problem." On a non match day (or saturday) , the guy wants to park as close as possible to WHL, where some Nazi traffic warden won't do him, and where there will be sufficient eyes around to stop some tief trying it on.
i've parked here and the surrounding streets before, even on matchdays https://plus.google.com/106079286528974605515/about?gl=uk&hl=en
The players and staff car park behind the Paxron Road end is usually available on a non match day. Failing that, the new Sainsbury has parking available on a short term basis, and is only a 5 minute walk maximum from the stadium.
Looking on google earth a lot of read have these signs, tbh its left me a little confused if i can park there or not. Match day restrictions mon-fri 5-8.30pm sat, sun & public holidays noon-4:30pm Resident permit holders only
Take a train to White Hart Lane. You can't beat that and you don't have to worry about parking the car or driving there.
Not an option unfortunately. Everytime ive been to the lane before i've gone by train but I moved last year so this journey has to be done by car.
As promised ... The new Sainsburys at WHL has a 3 hr free parking limit. Which they appear to enforce zealously (towed away etc) .
About 90 minutes, two hours maximum. The new Sainsbury is about 10 minutes walk from the stadium tour meeting point which is by the club megastore.
