QPR player's £30K a week is a problem - says boss

Harry thinks finding new club for defender will prove an ask

The £30,000-a-week QPR pay Luke Young will make it difficult to get him another club in the January transfer window – according to his boss.

The 34-year-old has not kicked a first-team ball since a disastrous outing at Sunderland in March 2012.

Although he has been fully fit for some months, chances are Young will see out his four-year contract in June without kicking another with alerted clubs shy of even sharing his massive wages.

“If I got an injury at right-back I wouldn’t hesitate to play Luke,” said Redknapp. “But a move? It’s very difficult, because it’s not easy to get clubs to pay the wages.”

Um... these players are playing every game. And I'm sure Hill is not on that much, although would deserve it comparatively.

 

Some crazy poor decisions were made, one thing giving an upcoming player a long contract but not someone in 30's looking for a last pay day where short contracts with an option to extend should be in place instead.
