I saw it the for the first time after the game last night and i must say, he's lucky that he didn't get sent off for that, you could argue that both players were going for the ball, it reminded me a bit like when Shelvey did the same thing to Evans.
You mean the one where Shelvey outrageously took a two footed challenge from Evans and got sent off for it...?
Evans was lucky with the two footed challenge, but lets not forget that Shelvey was clearly off the ground, over the ball and got Evans in the knee with his studs.
Shelvey's challenge was bad and deserved a red card but Evan's effort was worse. Of course, Johnny pulled his theatre skills out the bag to get the "right " decision whereas Jonjo just got on with it like men should
This pretty much. Both made sending off challenges but the pathetic Halsey only saw Shelvey as making a bad challenge.
Maybe because Shelvey went over the top of the ball, he was clearly over the ball from the minute he lunged in studs up, Evans went in two footed (which technically should still be a red, I've already said he was lucky) but he went at the ball, Shelvey looked like he went for the man and got him just below the knee with his studs, like it or not that is reckless and dangerous and probably overshadowed Evans' challenge because he made contact.
There you have it, all other attempts at trying to separate what should have been 2 red cards are null and void. Evan's should have seen red, Shelvey red, or neither red, we didnt see that though did we and there was **** all wrong with Evans, in case you need glasses, the only reason Shelvey's foot went over the ball was because Evan's got his foot the ball at the same time and shelvey's foot was deflected over the top of the ball. It's clearly in the replay.
Knew you was gunna say Mikel should of got a red before i even clicked the thread you're so bias meth
Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?
