  4. As I keep saying, anything is a bonus from these two games.

Obviously, being at the top is better than not being there but maybe a couple of negative results (including draws) will be a good thing for us? It will give us a reminder of where we are and maybe prevent us from becoming complacent.

I can see us winning both games, far from it, but I don't think we'll come out of them without a point either and I'd be over the moon with two points <ok>

For me, it is all about getting to and through January with us being in contention so that we have a better bargaining position with potential signings.

I'm going with a Chelsea supporting mate of mine as it happens! <laugh>

My wife is a big time Liverpool fan so we divide our time between watching Ipswich Home games and Liverpool Away games! I just wonder if we could borrow Mr Suarez from you on loan for a few games just to help us make the play-offs like...? I would even settle for Sturridge I'm not greedy! <laugh>

Ha ha, the clue is in the word CURRENT.

I promise you, if you win the league I will genuinely congratulate you all but all this celebration leaves you there to be laughed at if it all goes tits up, which it could well do.

You could have at least waited until after the City and Chelsea games, when it will be a more definitive position.

Good to see you all still using us as your benchmark though!

Isn't that a make of Renault..?

Mick is doing a mighty fine job with us and I am hoping that we can reach the play-offs this year after spending nothing in the Summer. These are good times for both our clubs at the moment! <ok>

Think you're missing the point Ruff, we are celebrating the improvement to our clubs fortunes and being top of the league is a big deal after a few seasons of misery.

All clubs including yours are striving to be at the top of the 'current' tree, we are just happy and enjoying the moment.

Yeah he resembles a Renault as it happens!

I can see playoffs although a lot of teams seem up for it in the Champion.

Always liked Mcarthy. An Honest, good manager.

    What Page said.

We're happy because usually by this time of the season we're 20 points of the top and have nothing to play for. Over the last few years the word progress has been chucked about by many a Liverpool fan.. This symbolizes progress, that perhaps we're back on the right track after descending in to mid-table mediocrity over the past few years. You'll be lucky to find many LFC fans thinking we're going to go on and win the title, but hey, makes a bloody nice change being up there around this time of year. Where's the boom-bust table?

We also know the position we're in, we know after the next couple of weeks we could be 6th.. I'm not going to sit here waiting for it, I'm going to hope for the best and enjoy it while we're bloody well up there, and I'm going to get smashed on Christmas knowing we've accumulated more points than anyone else in the league.

The fact you're all so quick to write us off speaks wonders. Have a goodun you miserable batards. <cheers>

Yeah McCarthy has done an amazing job in sorting out the complete Fcuking mess that Roy Keane and Paul Jewell made at the club!

Anyway I cant wait til next Sunday and the game at the Bridge and 3 more points to the mighty Reds! <ok>

  17. Before my time, just a quick glance at the blue shirt. We don't usually get many fans from clubs other than Chelsea, Everton (only one), Man Utd, Arsenal, etc <ok>

<laugh> No fair enough mate.. believe it or not we used to regularly challenge you for the title along with the other big boys back in the 70s and 80s!

I often pop on here as I find it by far the best board on this site for it's great mixture of threads and banter between you and your rivals! <ok>

I remember Johnny Warm playing for us and when Bobby Robson had a great team at Ipswich, went there a few times back then the best was when Kenny scored direct from a corner in the FA Cup and the worst when Mick Mills scored a last minute winner in the FA Cup.
