Wow - incredible start to the season. It really is. I don't think many would have expected this but we have certainly taken advantage of the stuttering starts of the 'bigger' clubs. So I'm certainly happy and thankful for where we are.

However, I won't be getting too excited. There are a lot of stats going around about how the team leading at xmas qualifies for CL, and wins the title etc etc. I'm not taking any notice of that for one simple reason - this is one of the closest seasons for 2 decades. Positions can completely change with one result and there are only 6 points between us and 7th place.

 

We are going to sustain it this time.

 

Unfortunately you don't get to play Norwich, West Ham and Cardiff at home every week.

You must have recognised the new reality - things are no longer as they were. There's as much probability that they will be 10 points behind as be back in it by the end of Jan.
