1 shot on target... at home... to a poor Chelsea team? Not one sub for the entire 93mins? If I was at the Emirates id demand a ****ing refund. I'm not even mad at the players... how can Wenger not make a single sub?
That performance exemplifies why we are not going to win the title...unlucky maybe at OT, City could beat RM on their day....but that was inexcusable.....this Chelsea side is above average yet they were never in danger of losing at any point in the match.
No he was unlucky with the ball into the box in that Cech and Terry did well to cut out the chance. I know people want to slag off Giroud and he should have buried the earlier chance, but don't fall into the trap of talking **** about that chance because it was very well defended.
Lol, you all make it sound so ****ing easy. When a team like Chelsea, with the players they have and more importantly the manager they have, come and set out for a point, it's very hard to break them down. Even the very best in Europe have found that out. They came to get a point, and got it. In a game like this you can't expect us to create many chances, and that's why we need a top CF. Giroud had those chances, and fluffed it like he does in many big games. With him upfront, we are not going to win the league, simple as that. So I would not go ape **** about it, because we all knew our main problem before the game, and that's what cost us.
The majority of the time, Poldi would have buried that chance that the Potato fluffed, yet we didn't even send him to warm up. I'd love to know why Arsene put him in the squad if he had no intention to use him.
I disagree. Like I said he should have buried that earlier chance, but he didn't play badly. If you want to single somebody out for an awful performance, pick Ramsey. He had a stinker.
Look at the teams who have beaten them home and away yet we could only muster a mighty 1 shot on target.
Agreed, it was clear as night and day that when they had a go they looked far more dangerous than we ever did. We simply do not have the players to breakdown well organised teams.
Most people see me as a broken record on Walcott, but I'm not dissapointed in him because his limits are very clear to me. That was a typical Walcott performance against a side that a) doesn't have defenders with **** positioning, b) a side we can't counter attack against. It's not the kid's fault, he was just played in a "not Walcott" game. Good news for him I guess is that the league has changed in the 2 recent seasons where we will face more teams that can accommodate his weaknesses by trying to play against us.
Our overhit passes annoyed me more than giroud, I know conditions were bad but thats no excuse for doing it repeatedly
Dear oh dear. How on earth can you compare this game with the games in which they shipped those goals? They clearly set up differently for each game, and left plenty of spaces for the likes of Stoke and Sunderland to exploit. Against us, they gave nothing and settled for a point. I mean how many times do Lampard,Ramiers and Mikel all start in the same midfield?
This The midfielders were poor today and made far too many misplaced passes. Were too slow to move the ball and didn't defend properly when we lost the ball. Walcott and Giroud were feeding on scraps today.
So far, we're still yet to win in December. Looks like my prediction of us not winning again until January may be proved right. Lost the reverse psychology touch now.
There is that - and Giroud should have buried that chance. Overall I thought Ramsey was poor tonight though.
