Rickie Lambert caught on camera shouting "get Jos off, he's terrible!" during Sunday's game. Footage was caught by Norwegian TV firm TV2, but can only be viewed with a Norwegian IP address. Not sure if other sites will pick it up, or if anyone knows a way around this? http://www.tv2.no/play/sport/premie...bert-lagkameraten-ba-benken-bytte-781401.html What are people's thoughts on this? Harmless? Unfair? Correct? At Sunday League you do see this all the time, though. DTLW
Hardly unfair. He was clueless all game. Although Jos could have said "Get Rickie off" and he'd have a point as well!
Slightly unprofessional, but if it's Lambo who's said it, it most likely means the rest of the squad have grown tired of him.
In essence a fair comment, he was, but then perhaps Rickie should have looked a little closer to home if he wanted to criticise a performance....
Rickie did his job, he scored a goal and has a fantastic goals to game ratio. Jos Hooiveld has cost 4 goals single handedly in the last 2 games.
I can understand Rickie. All the other players were probably thinking the same. Just imagine, the amount of hard work everyone put on the pitch and has nothing to show for it, because two games in a row already Jos is giving opponents clear goalscoring chances and generally being a menace for our own goal.
Like Osvaldo's actions, it could have been in the:
All sorts of things happen on a football pitch that shouldn't in the heat of a competitive match, with players pumped up full of adrenaline (remember Suarez making a meal of Ivanovic's arm). I'm sure that they are probably good mates off the pitch as both of them appear to be most affable and good humoured. Rickie is a winner and Jos was at fault for the last 2 goals and it must've been frustrating after getting back in the match to throw it away so easily.
This probably happens all the time at all levels. Players have shockers and when a team mate sees this, they can make that comment. Players don't run around a pitch saying nothing. I don't think it's that big a deal really.
Not looked great but still has 5 league goals and better than 1 in 3 at Premier League level. He can say what he wants.
No one is bigger than the team, and no one is bigger than the club. Lambert is neither captain nor manager. Pochettino: "We are a team, we work as a team, we win and lose as a team."
