Was aimed at no one. I saw tapping up mentioned and responded in general. Was mentioned in the other thread I think aswell.
Reports suggest we have now got him for £16.50 and Blackburn have been allowed to keep their PL status. Any more outburst from them and there will be no more BRFC.
It won't be 20m!!! "Manchester United have refused to allow Blackburn Rovers to drive up the price for centre-half Phil Jones and, despite a late attempt by Liverpool to capitalise on the chaos surrounding the player's transfer, confirmation of the £16.5m deal is expected imminently." http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...ted-land-jones-for-163165m-again-2296782.html
OH FOR **** SAKE. Looks like you guys were right, infact we were probably all wrong. The fee will now be £50million and hes going to City. Why? BECAUSE ****ING NOHLMAN HAS COMMENTED AND EVERYTHING HE SAYS, DOES, THINKS OR LEARNS ( NOTHING ) IS ALWAYS WRONG.
What's the point in a buy out clause if your not aloud to tell anyone about it without the accusation of them tapping you up?
Theres a reason for that. Its called ''insider dealing''.Only Blackburn were supposed to know there was a release clause. Blackburn are saying that United stepped in when all interested parties didn't get a chance to talk to the player. He never spoke to either Liverpool or Spurs. He was given permission to,but he didn't. Now thats why Blackburn are demanding more money. They will get it.
No they will NOT get it because they have agreed the fee and Utd have refused to pay more. He did not want to go to Liverpool or any other team. Jones is going to be our player for 16.5m and not 1p more.
I couldn't care less who gets him. I believe he will go to Utd but your gonna look pretty dum if he does sign for anyone else, as ive seen you posting the same thing on about 5 different posts!
But Man United have agreed to pay more, they have agreed to pay £4 million more.Blackburn have seeked legal advice and are now claiming United tapped Jones up.Man United are paying them £4 million in add-ons as compensation. The deal will end up being £20.5 million.
Afternoon KPR, I'm not saying your wrong but we don't know anything yet. Don't beleive everything the papers say and then put it on here like its fact. The deal could yet still be for 16.5 million.
good point on the papertalk. we (I don't know why I have typed "we" when I primarily mean Man Utd fans... eugh) might as well just wait it out and see whats quoted when Utd/B'burn make it official
Who told United? If they want the player, their first step should be to ask the club if he is for sale, and offer a price. If all the rules have been followed, United should in no way know the release clause threshold. The only people who could have told them are the player or his representatives. Neither of which should be in any kind of dialog with United. I mean, once you get past £10M, who offers half mill transfer fees? It's kinda strange that United would pull £16.5M out of the hat as an initial offer... However, I doubt Blackburn or the FA could really prove it was anything but a coincidence, unless they start getting permission to look at the phone and email histories of all parties.
Or a disaffected former manager who was privy to the Jones contract and is a close personal lackey of a senior Utd staff member.
KingEric. One of your mods Viva United changed it,I have changed it back, and I have alerted Cypruss the supermod. Viva United is skating on thin ice.
