About 5 years ago, my other half bought me the QI book of Advanced Banter. it is not a book to read at one sitting and the tome has reappeared each Christmas since to enjoy some 50 pages or so through each festive period. Today I completed the book and within the final few chapters was the section titled "Towns" where the following classic has been waiting for me during that entire time. "Ipswich isn't twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide pact with Grimsby" - Ken Dodd And on that note, Merry Christmas to all fellow Canaries
Went to see him in Lowestoft in June and he obviously uses that formula for his joke.In our case the pact town was Grimsby,which if you know the two towns works quite well.His show went on until 1am and was hilariously funny in the last two hour segment.
