Apologies if you've already spotted this. Good interview with Laudrup about yesterday's game but the text deals with Michu's latest injury problem. It's an ankle that may require surgery to fix, leaving him absent for weeks. I think we've all realised that Michu hasn't been firing on all cylinders this season and this could be the reason why. He's had a knee problem and now an ankle injury which I believe he's been carrying for some time. Bad news for us but let's hope it's sorted sooner rather than later - imo there is no point in putting this off because we are definitely going to need him. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25488524
I agree. If it gets it sorted out, and we get the old Michu back for mid-Jan onwards, then that has to be worth the hit. We're missing his goals badly.
Get it done now , at some point he's got to have it done , he hasn't being playing well 'recently so why prolong it. We have an easier run in at the end of the season than the last two seasons ,in the meantime just hope we don't get cut adrift and when he's back he'll give us that extra impetus to push on .
Agree, the sooner he is sorted out the better. A Michu at less than full throttle does not contribute much and when other players naturally look to him, if he can't do what he's capable of it all turns sour. We now need Bony to start firing on all cylinders and others to get with the program on how best to use him. After watching Saturday's match, we again dominated possession against a possession dominating team but failed to generate many clear chances. I liked Lamah when he came on. I liked Pozuelo's energy. Canas is getting better every game. Shelvey, when he is fired up, is tough to stop. I don't think we can leave a player as good as Amat on the bench against Chelsea - he has to play right back.
Lamah has a great technical skill and is confident enough to take a player on either by that turn and flick over the defenders head or by pushing it past and ghosting away from him , I do like him and he's tricky enough to cause all sorts of problems for a defender , he's probably not the best defensively and can drift out of games but hey theres a few others that do that .Amat is very good and will develop imo into a classy centre half , just defends and can keep his discipline positional wise .I'd like to think Ash is giving him good advice during matches as thats what he needs atm .
One can only assume that to have surgery on one's brain there has to be, well, a brain. So I take it your hospital visit isn't scheduled any time soon then? I'm sure that when it comes around the surgeons will put an ad in the Post for a search party. Nice try at derailing a thread that would interest most proper supporters. You won't be here long enough to continue. Ta ta.
Well I like to think so Dragon. There's quite a few of us here I think you'll find. You have a nice break over Christmas.
