totally agree with this. They tried to implement something similar a few years ago. Mascherano got sent off when we were playing Man Utd for it. The refs just gave because of the stick they were getting though
If there is a clear rule it takes it out of the ref's hands. The yellow cards could be issued after a game rather than during it so it adds to the yellows and can lead to bans for repeated offenders. For me some yellows should only be issued after a match is over, like pulling your shirt up in celebration, yellows like that which are kind of administrative yellows and not given for actual game affecting fouls or antics. Administrative yellows can lead to a 1 game ban if you get 2 during a game but doesn't put your team down to 10 men in a game
Diving is attempting to affect the game directly so should be dished out immediately. Admin yellows could be for Celebrations dissent crowding the ref or lino kicking the ball away. player handbags oh and kicking ball boys
Really don't get why players can't remove their shirts. Does it offend people, infringe sponsorship or some obscure safety rule?
