Including stoppages. If we reproduce the levels from Saturday/the 2nd half Vs Blackpool, then there won't be any problems during the next 2 games. Forest's last 6 at home reads: W-0 D-4 L-2 Last 10 overall: W-2 D-3 L-3 Watford's last 5 at home reads: W-0 D-0 L-5 Last 12 overall: W-0 D-5 L-7 In Nigel Pearson's post match interview he repeatedly used to word "resilience" to describe Leicester's performance, and said of QPR "but I think they will probably feel they should've got something out of the game with...especially the first half situations that they had". He knows they were under the cosh. Kevin Bond agreed, saying "I thought we were the better side and I thought we deserved to win overall". Burnley are away to Boro next, who've only lost 1 at home in their last 9; Leicester have a tricky one Vs Reading, and Derby are about to come unstuck away at Huddersfield (who've imo the league's best striker David Vaughan now fit). There are reasons to be positive!
I agree that was good football but you can add in Derby and thats the only good football Ive seen all season. Plus its scary how much worse we looked after HT, what on earth was said to them to make them play that badly?
The difference in the 2nd half was Leicester stopped with any pretence that they wanted to play football, and just plonked men behind the ball & played on the break. Schmiechel was time wasting from the 55th minute, which sums it up. We weren't helped by having ten men for the final 10mins either. You didn't think the first half V Reading or win Vs Barnsley were any good?
I havent seen every game so would have missed those if they werent streamed. I think we can say the good football has been the exception rather than the rule.
I don't think you'll beat Forest away with your second half performance. Did you have a shot on target in the second? You'll have a chance if you repeat your first half performance BUT you need to take your chances. Austin never looked like scoring against us.
By Christ this bloke is annoying. I thought we self moderated and then banned WUMS. Nines, get this bloke sorted
If people with a different opinion to yours annoy you then a multi-club forum is really not the place to be.
Saturday's game reminded me of Leicester V Man City, but I think we'll just have to agree to disagree AKCJ. Austin had a poor 2nd half by his standards, if AJ had been fit he'd definitely have been used at some point. 4 points from the next couple of games would be decent, so I'd be happy with a Draw Vs Forest. Forest's 2 wins in 10 were a couple of streaky ones Vs yourselves & Wednesday, so I'm not too fussed by them.
I think most teams will take a point there. We won our first league game there in May to reach the playoffs.
Strange as it seems, a fit BZ might have given us a boost on Saturday, allowing Austin to feed off his knockdowns. Or is that just wishful thinking?
Agree Andy Leicester got the points and we didn't I have already moved on Confident we will control the football on our next away games just hope we take our chances or we could get nothing Scenario is however if QPR find ourselves behind chasing points I think we could be more dangerous I preferred it just sitting close to the top as with Saturday 2nd we look too rushed at times and certainly not our game ... Credit to the foxes for being strong there ... It was what it was We have only theories but I am certain again we will push through in the next 12 weeks
TBH Grifter I think this is stretching things a tad, we played well for the last half hour at Blackpool and 1st half on Saturday. The 2nd half wasn't anywhere near as good as the first, although we kept possession well we didn't really cause them too many problems in final 3rd of the pitch. If we can replicate the form we showed as mentioned above we stand a good chance of winning at Forest for the first time, however if we play as we did in first half at Blackpool and second half on Saturday it could be a long depressing evening....
I've never had a problem with Leicester, but by Christ I really hope they miss out on promotion just to piss you off.
