The agent of Valmir Berisha admits a decision over the Halmstads striker's future will soon be made. The 17 year-old Swedish striker has fielded offers from Sunderland, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United. "We have a priority list of clubs, we have full control of the situation. The arrival of new clubs is happening all the time. But the decision is close," agent Anders Karlsson told Fotbolldirekt.se. "How close? I cannot say for hours or days or so. But it can be done very soon, that's all I can say in the current situation."
Sunderland are interested in signing Nottingham Forest youngster Jamaal Lascelles when the transfer window opens in the New Year. The England Under-20 international has made nine appearances for the Forest first team and there is a long list of interested parties in the centre-half who is under contract at the City Ground until 2016. Lascelles is not the only player being linked with a move to Sunderland from Forest as 23-year-old Karl Darlow is also said to be a target, the keeper's form since taking over the number one spot a year ago having lead to several top flight clubs taking an interest. Managerless Tottenham and Aston Villa are also thought to be keen on the 20-year-old but none of them are going to pick him up on the cheap. Arsenal made a £5million offer for Lascelles back in 2011 and, with Forest not needing to sell due to their Kuwait owner Fawaz Al Hasawi, neither Lascelles or Darlow will be leaving Forest unless they receive a very good offer.
Fulham are reportedly leading the way for the signature of Peruvian winger Paolo Hurtado. The Pacos de Ferreira player, 23, is available for £3.34m, and has also attracted interested from Sunderland. However, The Mirror claims that the Cottagers are favourites to complete a deal. The newspaper also says that Hurtado is similar to former Premier League player Nolberto Solano.
According to BBC Sports Gossip Column, Gus is checking the fitness of Wayne Bridge with a veiw to a January move, **** me Gus, we can do better than that surely? Also noticed that Jelovic might be up for grabs in January, worth a punt? got to be better than Graham & Ji.
I know fella, That's why I didn't start a thread on it. It's still a link though so goes on the list.
He obviously looking for depth in the fullback positions. Don't think Bridge and Dossena are adequate for all our left back options myself.
Gotta be the best one yet, Sunderland are apparently plotting a move to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba on a temporary basis in the January transfer window. http://www.eyefootball.com/mobile/17072/Sunderland-Demba-Ba-January
Cheers Com. Sunderland in for Demba Ba in January? Sunderland are apparently plotting a move to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba on a temporary basis in the January transfer window. The Black Cats manager Gus Poyet is in the search for suitable additions to his attack-front as he aims to guide the club to safety, and considers the talented Senegalese forward as a top transfer target during the upcoming transfer window. Ba has found it hard to settle with the Blues since his switch from the Magpies in January, and he is considering a move away from the West London club, having found himself down the pecking order in the first-team under manager Jose Mourinho, following the arrival of the likes of Samuel Eto'o and André Schürrle during the summer. However, Sunderland will have a tough battle on their hands to sign the former Newcastle striker on a short-term deal, as the West London club are interested in selling the player on a permanent transfer. Serie A giants Inter Milan are also keen on signing Demba Ba.
With the transfer window rapidly approaching and Gus Poyet stating that he wants any new arrivals to be in almost as soon as it opens, Sunderland are being linked with a steadily increasing list of players, the newest of which is Raul Meireles, who we were rumoured to be interested in during the summer. According to a report by Fotomac, Portuguese international Meireles, who has been playing in Turkey with Fenerbahce since joining the club from Chelsea in 2012, stated in an interview on Fenerbahce's own television channel that he doesn't want to leave the club but he has received another transfer request from Sunderland, with Napoli also mentioned as a possibility for the midfielder who has 71 caps for Portugal. The same article also has a quote, reportedly from Gus Poyet, in which he says; It will be good for me if we have signed him [Meireles]. This report should be taken with a huge pinch of salt but with reinforcements clearly needed in midfield and the player not being a regular in the Fenerbahce side this season (mainly due to injury and suspension), a loan deal could be a good solution for all parties. Sunderland will get a quality player for 6 months and Meireles will get regular playing time before the upcoming World Cup, without tying himself to a struggling side. Although even taking into account those factors, convincing such a highly paid player to join a team bottom of the Premier League will be extremely difficult and that's even if we are able to go close to matching his reported £48,000 per week. Stay tuned to Roker Report, as we will bring you complete coverage of what is bound to be a vital transfer window for Gus Poyet and Sunderland. again linked with us
Hmmmmmm. almost believable, and would be an improvement on what we have in our midfield locker at present.
Gus Poyet is ready to make a raid on former club Brighton with a £2 million bid for Liam Bridcutt. Poyet, the Sunderland manager, will table an offer for the midfielder when the transfer window opens next week as he prepares to shake up his squad. Bridcutt, 24, was signed by Poyet from Chelsea in 2010 and has established a reputation as one of the most highly-rated playmakers outside the Premier League. Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest attempted to sign the Scotland international in the summer but Poyet is set to test the resolve of his old club with a bid next month. Poyet is certain to face opposition from Brighton following his acrimonious exit from the Championship club in June for alleged gross misconduct. Brighton are also expected to demand a significant fee and could ask for around £5 million after new manager Oscar Garcia guided the club to the brink of the play-off positions. But Poyet is determined to make changes to his squad as he battles to avoid relegation, with a left-back and striker also top priorities. "My aim all the time is to do things quickly in January," he said. "We're having meetings practically every day and we're getting close to January now. "January 1 is a Wednesday, it's not on the weekend, so if there are not any problems with bringing them in from abroad, they could be signed that day."
Sunderland midfielder Alfred N'Diaye doesn't expect to be recalled from his loan at Eskisehirspor. Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has opened the door to recalling N'Diaye in January. But a source close to N’Diaye told the Evening Chronicle: “Honestly, I do not see Alfred going back to Sunderland in January.”
@Sunderlandafc11 IFK Gothenburg are eyeing Sunderland winger David Moberg Karlsson. IFK are keen to find a quality name to replace Tobias Hysen, who is moving to China. Karlsson is on their radar after he left IFK in the summer forSunderland. "I know nothing of this, hard to comment then," the 19 year-old told GT. "I have no intention of giving up here yet. I've only been atSunderland for six months."
