Good point and btw neither has the Pope. Don't worry they won't be singing for much longer. ITS all going to happen again. No VCT or EIS this time round and the favours have surely been called in and Malcolm of the pished stained troosers has been well seen of the premises. The sevconians cannot see who the saviour could have been. Stockbridge videoed him because he was the one true potential saviour of the club. King won't gift millions under present circumstances without a price and the spivs will not dilute their holding. He will have to buy them out, BUT oh wait a minute WHAT ABOUT THAT HORRIBLE EXPRESSION OF INTEREST in the interim accounts by Delloite???? Sir Craig Whyte goes bust and the OR is legally obliged to pursue any potential assets and that would include the EOI above. They are being bled dry and 100% increase in ST will not begin to cover it. AIM are interested in the content of GW statement to the media regarding the P&L column of the accounts. Btw anyone any idea how much he will be on? Given his inclusion of the one off payments under the £14.6m loss I would view him not quite as the saviour. Did he read the bloody accounts??.
Bobby Sands. This is the time to celebrate him with a classic hymn. "Silent night..., oh, holy night, dynamite, sleep in heavenly pieces... oh, sleep in heavenly pieces..." Classic.
Bobby Sands was a great man. I don't think he had anything to do with Celtic but I like hearing songs about him from the Celtic support.
Shared a similar type of discrimination. In his case it was social engineering, similar to Scotland in the past. But much worse, in the case of Celtic we have historically had to fight against similar discrimination but in the sporting field. I would hazard to guess that if he were a football fan, his sympathies would have laid more with Celtic than with the filth.
I think he supported Aston Villa. He was into athletics. Michael Devine supported Rangers as a kid apparently. Kevin Lynch was a Hurling man. Not easy in co Derry. He has an underage All Ireland medal and played over in England for Bedfordshire too.His brother often comments about the songs at Celtic games.
You don't expect him to admit to that FFS lol. Was invited as a kid to play Gaelic football over by. Feck me. Will never again complain about hard tackles in football. Got hit by a train. Thought feck that for a gem o Sojers.
I never played in a match as a kid but trained with my old man's club during the holidays. You need to be playing it all the time to be any good.....even then, I suspect I'd have been not much good. I play a few games now and it's a big regret that I never played more. There were no underage teams near us in London but there was for Gaelic football, so I played that all the way through from u-12 to senior. I coach kids hurling now though.
We messed about as kids with Gaelic Football, sometimes in the middle of a game of football someone would jokingly catch the ball and then blooter it on the drop volley into the goals. Or shout "1 point" if someone hoofed it over the bar. I used to love the combined rules between Ireland and Australia, by **** that was a hard man's game, fights everywhere, better than Ice Hockey. The series is in big trouble. Ireland just absolutely pumped the **** out if the Aussies. The fights were great and one of the reasons for watching but it was thought a little unfair that fully pro athletes could take liberties with farmers. Then the farmers got bigger and fitter and the pro athletes thought ...."**** getting injured by a farmer". The last straw was when they changed the rules to mean the AFL guys couldn't **** ****s up with impunity. Suspensions carried over to the AFL, so they all jacked it. So they said....Indigenous Aussies only. There ain't that many in the AFL so they ended up getting hosed.
Yes that explains a lot, I take it that's the reason the coverage is so poor? Here are some more beauties, have a look at 3:40 onwards, incredible.
Nobody is really that interested in it, although it is live on tv here. Folk know the Aussies aren't sending a competitive team, and the Aussies don't think it would be competitive if they did. just like the Hurling/Shinty Hybrid it is really hard to get even teams. Shinty is a pretty small pool of players so to make it even Ireland have to chose players who compete at a lower level. Doing that means nobody wants to watch. That ice hockey one was stupid. No defence, all punches.
Having watched John Pilger's documentary, "Utopia", I am somewhat disenchanted with what Australia has to offer ...
