Alvarez right at the end. Hes a player who clearly looks nowhere near up to it. Even though Bony doesnt looks a £12m player the bloke has a cracking shot and a superb finisher. Everton were the better side up to the equaliser but look rattled after conceding a lucky goal. At that moment I think you had a chance to go on and win. Then he took Bony off for Alvarez. I dont get why he did that. Saying that your keeper should have done better with both goals and I dont believe Ben Davies was faultless with either
Funny how it takes a Cardiff fan to put some of our lot right, so well done Hilts. Vasquez has to go back to his parent club because he's just not good enough. A few of us have said Davies & Tremmel in particular conspired to lose us that game - though Davies was outstanding up to the point he gave away that needless free kick. Two fantastic strikes cost us but you're right - both savable and Vorm would have done the business imo. On another day we'd have got something for sure, and we were unlucky at the end with Howard making a couple of excellent saves, and that's saying something against a side that will almost certainly be top four come May. Some of the hystrionics on here whenever we lose a game make me want to vomit.
Alright lads. Decent game yesterday, been reading this thread & wondering if I was watching the same one though. By our recent standards we weren't great yesterday & despite taking control of the game before we scored in the 2nd half, we weren't creating a lot of clear cut opportunities. Coleman's strike was a Worldie & the swerve on it would have beaten any keeper imo. We dropped off straight after scoring though & surrendered the initiative & whilst your goal was fortuitous, it was the result of a spell of sustained pressure. At 1-1 I thought the game was done, but Barkley's free kick was sublime. Even then you had 2 great chances to score, Howard made a great save from the volley on the edge of the box & your sub striker (who looked total mince btw) kicked thin air when any sort of touch would have got you a point. You're one of the better sides we've played this season imo, so I wouldn't be too down about your situation at present. You've got a tough run of fixtures coming up, but once you've got through them, I'm sure you'll be fine.

Whereas we agree to disagree on the two excellent strikes which, having watched again on TV I think Vorm would have saved, it sometimes takes an outsider to put some realistic perspective on a game. I think most sensible Swans fans would agree with your overall assessment but there's always a few. Good luck to Everton - Bobby is doing a grand job for you and is proving a lot of us wrong this season.
Me included mate, as I wasn't happy when he was appointed, but he's made me eat my words, as he's not put a foot wrong so far. I always enjoy watching Swansea & wouldn't be surprised if you delivered a couple of 'shocks' amongst your forthcoming list of games.
Ok. He should have scored though. I dont know what Laudrups thinking is on this one. If you werent at the Derby what you may not know is Michu was struggling for a while before he went off. At that point it was Vasquez?? who was about to come on. However we then score to go 1 up. He then changes it to Bony. Maybe he sees something in training which he hasnt produced on the pitch

He's usually reactive in his use of substitutions, he put Pozuelo on as soon as Everton scored their winner yesterday with 5 minutes to go even though De Guzman hadn't created a chance all game.
As for Vasquez he's just not good enough, at first I thought had potential to be better than Itay Scheter he had a shot on target at Crystal Palace and set up a goal for Dyer, but it wasn't to be. After apparently being in for the likes of Lukaku according to Laudrup it's a little disappointing the only other striker we could attract was 1 who's not good enough for Getafe.

Kj and daiswan have destroyed the board and because the modding is so weak they are left to destroy it further dragon has responded to abuse about being plastic but KJ is a Newcastle fan himself which slipped out a while back, daiswan is a Liverpool fan and dragon is the only true jack out of the lot of them!.......... Just saw the Vasquez "sitter" that was "missed". I've seen far better strikers than Vasquez miss chances like that, Theo Walcott being a prime example only last week. It was Distans ball all the way and it would have required extraordinary anticipation to pop that in. No wonder I didn't thank it was a "sitter" because in real time he would have had a millisecond to react. Just goes to show that you boys see more of the game in slow motion replays while in your armchairs But the game isn't played in slow motion.
