OT: Muslim staff at M&S can now refuse to sell pork & alcohol

The vast majority of Muslims that I know would also think that the decision by M&S is barmy..This is just an absolutely crazy company policy that has been brought about by a few idiots, so every Muslim shouldn't be judged by things like this..

You lot do realise the since the dawn of time the UK has been one big melting pot? Read up on saxons and Norman, the vikings just to start.

There is too much pandering in the media but that's all a lot of it is, if you're going to believe the Daily Hate without thinking for yourselves you're going to look silly.

That's not to say there aren't problems to be dealt with but most of them are caused by white British officials worrying about getting reelected so they can keep their snout in the trough than doing the right thing.

i think all of this is a diversionary tactic by the media: keep the Plebs' minds concentrated on hate figures such as Muslims, immigrants, benefit cheats and forget about those we should all be worried about. By this I mean the banksters, money grabbing politicians who are farming out the country's assets to the private sector(including the NHS and Royal Mail), companies offering low pay, zero hours contracts, corporations paying no tax; these are the people that are destroying our country. The media are controlled by large corporations, so it's in their interests to try and divert everyone's attention away from the real problems.

The media are trying the classic tactic of divide and conquer: if you have different factions of your population fighting against one another, whether that be Muslims and non-Muslims, workers against benefits claimants, it takes their minds off the real problems and helps you to control the masses, whilst you can continue with your own ideological agenda.

In all this, I'm not trying to say there aren't problems but be wary of the fodder provided by the Daily Mail et al.

Could turn out to be a very good marketing ploy by M&S of course.

Knowing fine well that none of their staff are going to exercise this right, yet droves of chavs who'd otherwise buy their Christmas dinner or white lightning from the Spar will be queuing up for joints of ham and bottles of wine just to see if it happens to them so they can 'go mental' if it does. If it happened to me I'd exercise my right to throw the money in their face and walk out with it anyway, but I'd sooner just go to Asda (or Waitrose if I wanted something nicer) where I know I won't have this issue.

They've also been in hot water before for being 'Pro-Israel' so this probably helps claw back any lost Muslim demographic to their stores.

 

If I was a vegetarian and told M and S that I no longer wanted to serve staff with meat would they accept that?

 

Double standards if you ask me, I wouldn't mind betting that any Toon supporting Muslim woman would want to show her bare face in Fenwicks window if you lads stayed up this season.

What is fascist and ill-formed about the fact that one of the natianally renowned CHRISTMAS spectacles (The Fenwick's window) can no longer be shown due to Muslims compaining about it? What if I, as a white man, went to a Muslim country and complained about something that was culturally insullting to me but was everyday life for Muslims?

Also - why do we have to call lights put up for Christmas "Winter Lights" - are they not Christmas lights? They always were in years gone by - why has that changed?

My entire life Christmas has been openly celebrated by all and in the last few years it has started to insult a few people so things have to change - WHY?

By the way - I work with a Muslim lad who thinks that the M&S decision is bollocks (in not so many words) and that the people complaining about Fenwicks should simply avoid the street it can be seen from as it is culturally part of the city - I'm not saying ALL Muslims - it is the fact that these places bow down to a minority of people.

I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the M&S story ends out to be a pile of ****e..I couldn't give a toss about Fenwicks window because it doesn't affect me, but I wouldn't be surprised if that has been fabricated as well..
