I agree with a number of the comments. - De-Guzman is a bit of luxury player but I thought he one of his decent but not outstanding game today. That doesn't mean I think we should buy him. - I have been concerned that we tend to play one too many players in any given game who has tendency to give the ball away in the wrong part of the pitch. eg de-guzman, shelvey, Pablo Poz - Allen and Britton hold on possession but tend to hold onto away from the attacking third, this may not help us score goals - Canas held onto the ball ok today and generally our possession % was ok today and has been mentioned our problem remains in the final third. - Not sure what to think about our attack, Pablo and de guzman do try to break up the congested spaces in the middle and when we go wide it tends to slow down and our crossing is not great and we only seem to have one target man, surely one of our attacking mid field should be getting into the box. Countless time today the ball went loose in the box we had no one there. -Didn't get a good view of the goals, but they were in the corner of goal and felt Tremmel may have done better. - Unfortunately Vasquez's effort looked pathetic for a striker - We cannot compare Laudrup with Rogers or Martinez. Neither of their teams are playing the same way as the Swans used to play, both have evolved with better players. I don't have a problem with Laudrup, we play some very good football but if we accept that we are not scoring easily we have firm up defensively. Remember we are missing Michu, Rangel, Vorm, Britton and now Dyer ( who lifted his game lately). - If we get rid of DeGuzman we will need a box to box midfielder who can take set pieces - how much will that cost and will Huw be willing to pay, does he have an alternative way of getting that sort of player? - would we be happy to play defensively against the top clubs at home and aim for counter attacking football like we did away against Chelsea (in cup) and Newcastle last year.. just a thought?
