Cardiff have only played at home to two teams outside the top 8, so clearly they have. TBF you do have good fixtures and could still get out of it.
and not all civilians are cowards ,and there are cowards in the forces ,but one never knows until the time comes for both
All Sunderland fans are optimistic at heart as 40 completely barren years can testify but its difficult to remain positive when the players keep letting us down? Our performance against Chelsea gave me all the hope we could realistically mount a survival campaign but then along came the Saturday and yet another blank. Time is running out for us as the manager himself admits and although we do have some winnable games coming up, I'm not filled with much expectation we can fulfill that hope. We are bottom of the league with 10 points after almost half a season and thats abysmal by any standards. We will probably struggle to reach 30 points IMO unless we can bring in the 2 or 3 game changing players we need to give us that boost on the pitch in front of goal. I hate saying it but after Saturday I fail to see how we can pull clear of this with the current playing staff.
I haven't read anyone dismissing any of them. Stu, I've never said we will pick up points I said we should and I've always maintained we were not relegated yet, it's in our own hands so it will be our own fault if we don't. I reserve my right to be an optimist and not a miserable boring self righteous old twat On paper which half of the home games looks harder Stu, first half of the season or second? Please answer me that?
We will never get out of this if our own fans have no belief. There time yet we can get out of this mess remember there are teams just as bad we can catch them.
no we are not bri and i agree with you on the fixtures , twists and turns along the way , but the way other teams are viewed baffles me ,they are above us at the moment and none are going to be a cert to be beaten by us at home ,its not ktf issue its being real about the situation we are in ,as i said i would have 3 points from this game rather than the semi final ,but thats my opinion ,every point lost puts everybody on edge once again a win everybodys happy again , no malice intended to anybody ,its all about opinions
It's a psychological state of affairs mate. If there were 2 teams below us and we had one more to catch, who were only 4 points away from us, we'd feel better .... being bottom just feels worse. There are so many relegation candidates playing each other that they'll all drop points and we have 7 of them to play at home. Bollocks to it, there's loads of the season left and some truly **** teams. Palace had a little run and so can we, it'll chop & change 'til the last day.
Absolutely agree. But if you dare to believe you get threads like this calling folk deluded. The way Stu is going on you'd think we'd played all of our 7/8 relegation rivals at home when in fact we've played two. He's proved nothing.
Hang on, plenty of us think we can but when the players themselves keep dropping the ball mate, it makes it more and more difficult to keep faith we can escape. That doesn't make one supporter better or more passionate than the next though. Realism needs to be heard over fantasy. We have played the like of Palace, WBA, Fulham, Norwich, WHU and Hull already and failed to beat any of them. What makes anyone think that playing these again will result in wins? We look piss poor in the EPL this season and its not the fault of referees we have 10 points from 17 games, its the **** performances of the players, the poor managerial appointments and the piss poor summer recruitment combined that has seen us bottom of the pile so long. Until at least 2 of those things change (one is the manager and it has and the other has to be the players themselves) then we will continue to struggle against ANY opposition. Saturday was possibly the most disappointing result and performance because after the heroics of the cup, I expected far better from them in the league against piss poor opposition in Norwich. However, we were piss poor as well though and that hurts. Have I given up? Of course not and my heart says we can get 4 points from the next 2 games. Am I am realist? I sure am and my head says its knackered this season.
There are so many relegation candidates playing each other that they'll all drop points and we have 7 of them to play at home. Spot on
But that's been my point the whole time fella But that makes me deluded? I think we are better then most teams around us but that's my opinion, it's no right, it's not wrong. I'm an optimist and make no apologies, I don't provide a nervous demeanor at matches, I don't write my team off on public forums. It's a matter duty to my club and I will not say die, if that makes my deluded then fair do but I'm trying to be the best supporter I can be.
IMO I think the safety points could be very low this season.maybe 36 points ok it's wishful thinking so what.
I think you'll find it does to be totally honest ......... I know it's not PC to say that but I believe it's true.
what do mean hes proved nothing ,you are not taking on board what the /my issue is are you ,if these points are nailed on for us why is the manager saying different things to you, this was the first must win at home game out of what is called the among you fixtures we have coming up,we didnt lose so if we now get a point at everton it nearly makes up for that, again its our situation in reverse they must be thinking safc at home a win for us ,do you see what im saying bri
